I think it's too expensive for such a boring Android table.

    • +5

      It's definitely too expensive and I wouldn't buy it… but I wouldn't say it's boring.

No other tablet will integrate as well with Google Home. It can somewhat replace your Google Nest Hub as well.

If you have plenty of cash to waste and are squarely in the Android over Apple camp, then why wouldn't you pick this up?

      • +5

Agreed. If Apple was selling the same thing it would be twice the price and people would call it a bargain.

  • Amazing, been looking to buy this for the past few weeks, finally pulled the trigger

  • Being a pixel super fan, i choose to skip this device.

Not enough value for the price. This is what their Pro version of this tablet should've been at, not this vanilla first attempt.

Damn I bought this a couple weeks ago with the 15% guide discount and a bunch of store credits, this is even cheaper! On chat now for a price protection

For $659 I'd say it's a borderline acceptable purchase. The dock is nice, you do find yourself using it more than you would another tablet as it is more accessible sitting on the dock and it's always charged. Multi users are a nice feature too so everyone can have their own profile. I just wish it had a 90/120hz screen.

Worst case it looks good as an expensive photo frame.

Still way overpriced! Should be <$500 as the build cost would be very minimal considering the low end components

    Android tablets are DOA.

  • Finally bought one, came down to $319 after StudentBeans and Google credit. Kid's asking for months now since breaking her Lenovo Duet.

    • Nicer one. I've got 3 months left to use 150 credit but 8 don't need anything so fits find something 8 can sell to recoup maybe half the credit

  • If it was 120hz I'd be all over it. 60hz in 2023 is inexcusable, especially for that price.

  • You also get 10% store cashback if on Google One 2TB plan right?

    • Confirmed working… you'll also get an additional 10% cashback if you're signed up to the 2TB Google One plan.

      • Can the cashback to pay the coming google one monthly subscription? Or can I just simply cancel the google one subscription once got the cashback? How long the credit will last? Thanks,

        • Credit lasts 1 year from memory and you cant use it to pay for the Google One subscription (monthly or yearly). Not sure if you can cancel your subscription after you've got the cashback, havent read that far into the T&C's.
