A few orders have been fulfilled with confirmation of only receiving 1x bottle. Credit to Nicholasv who confirmed contacting chat support to receive a full refund and keeping the bottle.

"They could see that the listing said "pack of 6" when I ordered and that it had since been changed. They offered a refund straight up and didn't request that the item was to be sent back.

However, if they do say "please send us back the item for a full refund" or whatever, then just inform them that the item is a grocery item and Amazon does not accept returns on grocery items (link to T&Cs if required). Either you're getting 6 bottles for $52.99 or one bottle for free."

Possible error, however sold and shipped by AmazonAU. 3000 millitre and package weight. Literally in the titles of all, pack of 6 or pack of 4 with correct weights and volume.

    My favourite drink is an old fashioned, however, there are several ways to make it, I would not trust a pre-made mix because it's often up to personal preference. Me, I like 1.5 shots of whiskey, several ice cubes, a generous dash of lemon lime and bitters, a little lemon, a little lime, a spoonful of sugar and a glazed cherry (not a real cherry). Stir. Enjoy.

      This one is actually quite good. An Old Fashioned is my cocktail of choice but this Starward one is quite nice, not as good as getting one made in a nice restaurant but close enough.

      Yep. I’ve seen these listings for a few days.

      There’s somewhat of a safety net ordering from Amazon AU. I have strong doubts anyone will get 6 of anything. And I suspect some items that weren’t available will be cancelled. The best outcome will be a refund from one bottle.

      I jumped on my bottle of choice after seeing this post, so will play the wait and see game like everyone else.

      I took screenshots from the original listing if Amazon wants to claim it’s a single bottle. I don’t think I’ll get anything, as the bottle I selected was not in stock but could be ordered. Fingers crossed to those with deliveries next week.

            @nicholasv: Pretty sure Australia Post don't let you post spirits as they are Class 3 flammable liquids:

            "Subject to D10.10 – Liquids, Australia Post accepts alcoholic beverages that do not meet the above two dot points and which are therefore not classified as a Class 3 flammable liquid"

            Second dot point is "is an aqueous solution containing more than 24% alcohol by volume"

            These cocktails are stating 32%. The spirits posted elsewhere will be more than that. ;)

              @Gav: Auspost aside, Amazon doesn't allow the return of alcohol due to the following reasons:

              Amazon.com.au doesn't accept returns of the following items:

              • Items classified as hazardous materials or use flammable liquids or gases
              • Food and grocery products (which include alcohol)

              So they will usually refund straight away, no questions asked re returns.

The fact that Auspost consider it a flammable liquid is proof in the pudding, in case you get a "challenging" Amazon employee who doesn't realise alcohol is flammable. Fun fact on the first dot - wine technically is returnable (per Auspost), as alcohol content will be around 15%.

                  @HomeAlone: Probably will be a few questions asked 😂 Not sure about what happens in the back end if they think it's suspicious or flag your account or if there is a refund cap? But yes, in theory you should be getting a refund for all of them.

                  Also, I doubt they're all going to come the same day and will be spaced over the course of a few months, so that might help. And there will probably be one or two that get fulfilled with the 6/12 bottles as you ordered. I have ordered an error intentionally in the past which was advertised as 12 units and then 12 units came, but another ozbargainers only received 1 unit. So you may end up with 6 or 12 bottles of one type of alcohol which is a win anyway 😂

    I just got my order for the Japanese gin. Ended up with one bottle. Contacted them and they offered me a refund or replacement.

    Confirmed that the replacement would mean I would get 6 bottles. They placed the replacement order not realising the listing had changed to a single bottle. I then clarified again whether I would receive 6 bottles. The rep recognised the issue and went to talk to a manager. They agreed that I order 5 more bottles and contact them once they are delivered and they would refund me for all 5. So playing a sligthly more dangerous game as I will be out $445 if they go back on what they said, but I had them state it very clearly in the chat. And at this stage the "replacement" bottle is still in my order history. So I may end up with 7 for the price of 1.

    i just received my order today - Starward Coffee Old Fashioned Whisky Cocktail 500 ml (Pack of 4)
    1 bottle came. I spoke to chat and said they can offer replacement or refund. i asked what is the replacement, and they said 4. so i said replacement.
    they manually put the order in and seems like its just 1 bottle.
    i guess i will be speaking to them again after the next order.

      Mine arrived as a single bottle and they only offered a replacement. I queried the replacement order because it only said single bottle but they assured me it would be for 6. I doubt it!

    Good to hear everyone is getting the freebies. I am genuinely a bit depressed as I ordered this (then created the post) as well a few other bottles of whiskey with the same description error and only have the same ETA on all of them Sept 19-10 OCT. No shipment yet, I'm guessing Amazon doesn't sort orders by a queue of who placed the orders first? Or maybe they are punishing me for spreading listing errors.

      thank you OP, dont worry about the delivery time, normally they are quite accurate with the time, sometimes even earlier. so you will receive your free bottles in the end, like most of us.
