  All day care centres including home based centres are licenced under a Federal Government Act and all staff that have contact with children must have a working with children certificate.

  The school photographers, outside entertainers etc that come to schools must have a working with children check. Santa and the photographers in shopping centres must also have the certificate.

  If you are a paedophile and haven't been caught you will pass the check.

  My ex used to manage a Family Day Care scheme (about 20 providers) and ~8 childcare centres (local government).

  Have you thought to ask whether they are part of a FDC scheme? That's a good starting point. If they are managed then there's a third party doing the WHS checks and other important compliance items.

    My ex used to manage a Family Day Care scheme

    My daughter managed 12 centres before leaving to work for the Federal Government as a validator. That was an eye opener.

    As in my previous post above yours. If a paedophile hasn't been caught he/she will pass the working with children check.

        Yes they could. If you are a cleanskin then all you need to get a WWC and a Police Check is the money for the fee.

  A paedophile that hasn't been caught certainly can and did. The person mentioned in the above link worked for years in childcare before being caught.
