Edit: Seems to be just at 'Concept 8' stores (Pattysmiths, Huxtaburger etc.)

  • Which locations?

    • I am in WA. Unsure where else this is available.

      • @Coolins How was the 🍔? I haven't tried before. Thinking of ordering the beef one with chips from Pattysmiths

        • I ordered the chicken, haven't had them before but will let you know once it arrives.

          • @Coolins: Thanks 😊

            • +1

@trixieb: Chicken Burger is decent, similar to KFC. Quite small but cant complain for $5. Wouldn't get it again without the deal.

  • +2

Free delivery over $15 looks to be calculated pre-discount too

  • Not showing up in my app (VIC)

    • Showing up in mine, Vic also

    • +3

Didn't show up on the main page for me. I searched pattysmiths and it was on their store page though

      • Oh yeah that’s what I did too

  • +3

Sweet, thank you! Worked for me in VIC - $6.41 for cheeseburger combo delivered. Scheduled for lunch tomorrow

    • +1

Hmm… My local store charges an additional $9 for the regular cheeseburger combo. It's strange there is so much variance. The burgers certainly aren't worth $6 delivered alone.

      • Try the 'Item Offers' section at the top of the restaurant. Need to add the combo from there rather than adding the burger then selecting combo… Hope that helps.

        • Just realised you got the combo deal. I paid $5 for the burger (original price $13.50), $6 for the chips and $1.17 service fee, total $12.17 delivered.
I had to add chips to get free delivery ($3.99) and waive the small order service fee ($3). The regular combo deal isn't showing up in the offer section at the top and is an additional $9.50. Perhaps it's store dependant

          • @trixieb: For pattysmiths there was two ways to get combo, one is selecting burger and upgrading to combo

Second is selecting combo directly as its own item rather than an upgrade under the combo heading, I had a couple of these ones eligible for the $5 but may vary per store I guess.

            • @snoopydoop: Thanks. Combo heading isn't showing except as an upgrade in burger section. There is Value, Family & Kids meal heading which doesn't have the combo

              • +1

@trixieb: Sounds like a store by store thing then! That's a shame

                • @snoopydoop: I changed to another location and can see the combo deal for $5. Unfortunately it's too far for delivery. The stores near me only have the single burger for $5, not the combo

                  • @trixieb: I wonder if you can do pickup with this deal? Or get it 'delivered' to the restaurant lollll

                    • @snoopydoop: Lol This deal is delivery only when I checked last night

        • So for the record, on my app, the combos aren't showing in the Item Offers, just the individual burger for the cheeseburger or chicken burger.

          Yes I scrolled across

Lucky you sir, tried Pattysmiths in Canberra and can’t get the price that you got :(

      • +1

Thanks for trying for me. Looks like none in Western Sydney :(

    • +1

so in ACT I add the Classic Cheeseburger Single regular combo (small pepsi, chips). Normally it's $22.50 before fees. With the discount code it's -$8.50 if I'm understanding what I'm seeing correctly. +$1.35 Service Fees. Ends up being $15.35 total delivered. Help me out here, what are you seeing exactly?

      https://imgur.com/a/kv6P5lC

If I try order it directly through their website for pick up it looks like the combo is $21.50. Certainly there is some discount had here but not what seems to be being suggested is possible

      • +1

At my two locals pattysmith stores they had 4 offers - two for just the burgers and two for the burger combos. You need it to be a Burger combo for it to be my price, yours looks like just the burger and you've added the combo (which will cost extra)

        • Thanks for replying. Cheapest I can figure out is $10.90 delivered for just the burger (via the Item Offers option) and with a small pepsi to get over the $15 small order threshhold (without the pepsi it costs $12.61 for just the burger). It's unclear to me if the people getting the good price are just not getting the small order issue at all or if there's some trick to avoiding it.

I just don't get it. I have DashPass. I'd just love to see a screenshot of what someone who was able to order this for under $10 had on their Checkout.

Oh and for what it's worth mentioning, the asking original asking price for the burger is showing as $13.50 for me, before fees.

          • @hetzjagd: It depends on your location as not all stores are offering the burger combo for $5.
I got confused and paid $12.17 (includes service fee) last night for a single small burger and chips. I added chips for $6 to avoid the delivery and small order fees. My single burger was $13.50 and reduced to $5.
The store closest to me does not offer the burger combo for $5.
I realised later when I changed my location, I could see the burger combo for $5 but that store does not deliver to my address.

            • +1

@trixieb: Also thanks for replying (I know people find this corny but it's how I like to conduct myself). How was that for you value wise? Tell me about it

              • +1

@hetzjagd: My small burger and small chips were not worth $12.17. I'm new to DoorDash, Uber etc and didn't understand the 'deal'.
If you don't change your location, you would not be able to get this burger combo deal for $5 (+ $1 something service fee).

          • +1

@hetzjagd: Yeh the reason why it was so cheap for me was because the combo is $22 or something and that comes down to $5. You get to avoid the small order fee because the order total was $22 and it doesn't consider the promos. Dashpass member too so no delivery fee and then just paid the service fee of $1.xx

  • None in nsw i think?

why they trying so hard for food delivery how is it going to work in Australia no density lmao

    ran out of business ideas?

    • +4

my neighbour gets their food delivered multiple times every day; they definitely have a dedicated userbase of (perhaps literal) whales.

      • my neighbours the same lol
going to be interesting if these companies survive a recession

    • +3

Every time I go into a restaurant to pick up takeaway, there are multiple UberEats and DoorDash drivers waiting there to pick up orders. My street used to be pretty quiet most of the time, but these days I see at least 20 UberEats and DoorDash drivers per day driving past my place. My area recently rolled out DoorDash Drone delivery. The drones take off from the roof of the local shopping centre and drop off orders to customers in the neighbouring suburbs. Sitting outside on a Sunday afternoon, I usually count at least 50 drone deliveries flying over my house.

The food app revolution has happened. Its a thing now. I know I certainly don't want to pay a surcharge on top of the already expensive food plus a delivery fee for someone to bring me my takeaway, but lots of people do. More than you think. Its more than anyone thinks. An absolutely enormous proportion of our population does this now, like it's a normal thing.

      • I’m all for drones, having someone drive seems pretty inefficient tho

      • It’s annoying now it seems they’ve embedded many of the costs associated with the online app orders into the unit prices of the food items - so it impacts the users who bother to try and get the best deal as the specials aren’t really all that special anymore.

I sure as hell won’t pay the minor surcharge or minimum order amount - not so much because I think it’s a bad deal for the customer just on an ideological basis that it’s stripping the deals away from those who bother to go in store and upping prices (not to mention the inconvenience of having to wait for scooter orders to be packed and readied all the time, and them riding on footpaths having to freak out and step to the side whenever one approaches).

  • This got my account deactivated lmfao

    • What?

      • Placed my order and it did not go through wasent sure why checked my emails and it said my account has been deactivated for violation of TOS used doordash once before this after getting doordash for a year

        • Do you have multiple accounts or someone in your household potentially has multiple?

          • +1

@snoopydoop: I dont someone else could though but i talked to support and they said it was an error and unbanned me but im still banned lmfao

            • @Chiken: This reminds me of Uber Eats so bad.

Years ago every time I got to the check out on Uber Eats my order would not go through and instead my account got deactivated. This happened… more than 50 times.

Uber refused to listen to me and find out what kept causing it so instead they just constantly unbanned my account more than 50 times.

I thought it was my credit card causing the issue but then I tried a uber eats gift card and still my account got deactivated on the checkout… never went back since.

    Thanks OP.

  • Caution regarding the 2 uses per account.
The recent Hungry Jack's deal was meant to allow 3 orders per account, but when I tried it for the second time the next day, suddenly "this offer is no longer available".

    • That was the same for the two grocery deals. I couldn't get the 2nd offer to work

      • Their fairly ordinary customer service people eventually managed to help me out with getting my second order in for that, worth asking. Keep in mind they will ask for screenshots where these deals run out before the 2/3 whatever orders are placed

        • Their customer service is worse than ordinary in my experience

Had this and another promo showing up for stores with no eligible items and they have no way of easily checking what eligible stores/items are. It's a very poor UI/UX which seems par for the course with DoorDash. It took an hour (literally) for them to get the information about which stores/items were eligible. The only redeeming factor was getting 2x $10 credit for the experience

  • Huxtaburger used to have the best Chicken Sandwich with chilli sauce, not sure why they stopped selling it.

    • Probably not enough people bought it to make it worth their while

  • None in Sydney I suppose.

    • +1

all 6 stores are in around the city (redfern, darlinghurst etc areas)

  • Anything in QLD?

    • +1

Plant patty burgers works in GC but Pattysmiths doesn't seem to

  • +1

None of these stores in SA sell burgers so can't apply code

    • Works for me, ordered last night. The items you can order appear in a box at the top of the store listing, stores listed here https://www.doordash.com/en-AU/categories/1efcf8c9-152f-43f6… , assuming you have some that deliver to your area.

There's nothing listed at Supreme Leader, but Dante's, Pattysmiths & Plant Patty have $5 burgers listed.

  • Cheers OP! Worked 2033. $5.98 delivered with Dash Pass.

    • Wow that burger was tiny…we ordered 2 and the patty was split between the 2 burgers. A friend ordered one too and theirs was the proper size. Pretty disappointing.

  • +3

There's a small order fee of $3! That made this deal very average since there's also a service fee of $1.50. Essentially paying $10 per burger!

    • The small order fee applies to the pre discounted item, try and pick an item over $15 usually, or add something small to bring the total to $15 or over. Like paying $1 for a sauce might work out cheaper than paying the $3 small order fee.

  • Tried orderfing from pattysmiths, tried the combo and just the burger. Everytime no matter what i get it says "please add valid item for promotion" but wont tell me what are valid items

    • Classic cheeseburger and classic chicken?

  • +1

Seems like you can only use this once per restaurant? Ordered from Pattysmiths this arvo and can’t seem to order it now this evening.

    • +2

I just checked and I can order the same item from the same place as I did yesterday for $5.

      • +1

Great thanks @hamza23 I can see that too.

  • Thanks OP, I got a cheese burger combo for $6.41!

    • -2

How is this actually possible? I've got DoorPass, I am getting the code to work. It's delivery only. You set it to Delivery Only and it requires a $15 minimum spend to save with DashPass. It really gets up me how people post these deals without the basic breakdown of what to expect and leave it to searching through the comments for the actual necessary details. It's not that hard. Absolutely not an attck on you shadowblader9 but OP could have been more helpful

Cheapest I can figure out is S10.90 total. That's the Classic Cheeseburger Single and a small Pepsi added to get over the $15 hump. Total comes out to be $10.90 delivered with Dashpass. Is that supposed to be the deal?

      • +1

Free delivery is calculated pre-discount. So ordering a $15.10 burger should end up at $5 (+fees) with free delivery.
Only some stores seem to have a combo included in the $5 offer which is how they're getting it for $6~ delivered after fees

      • My local has the burger + chips + drinks combo included in the $5
Free delivery with doorpass, and possibly 50% off service fee as well.
Upsized combo for me was $8.90 all up delivered - not bad.

  • This promo popped up for me today (Sydney). Ordered a chicken burger from Supreme Leader for $7.60 and it was very tasty 😋

  • Edit: Seems to be just at 'Concept 8' stores (Pattysmiths, Huxtaburger etc.)

    whats all the concept8 storezs?

      • It looks like the page you're looking for is not available at this time.

        • +1

          Works for me ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Maybe your address doesn't have any stores nearby

          I can see

          • Dante’s Hot Chicken
          • Supreme Leader Chicken
          • Pattysmiths Burgers
          • Alabama Chicken & Wings
          • Plant Patty Burgers
          • +1

@CodeXD: i can manually search huxtaburger and the others (all no show) EXCEPT pattysmiths works but now "Unfortunately, this promotion is not currently available." when i apply ze code

  • -5

Doordash advised promo has ended lol

    • If the deal has ended, use the report button -> expired.

Why would you neg a deal because a promo has ended?

      • Because the banner of the promo was clearly still listed on the restaurant page.

Because the banner states the promo is valid till 15th September.

        Doordash is an absolute joke.
