  these speakers are old… like 15-20yrs old

  that is not a bad thing in itself but it reflects what home theater theory was like back then

  today its all about atmos and either upward firing or ceiling mounted speakers and rear and rear surround channels

  and so you would ask how does this work with a modern 7.2 atmos setup? gonna be strange….

    I doubt that it'd work for an atmos set up. I believe that these are good speakers.. just need the right application.

    These would suit well as traditional side or rear surrounds even in a atmos setup.

    The atmos component of the setup would be either in-ceiling speakers or upfiring atmos toppers on the front floorstanders.
