Balter Hazy IPA 375ml x16 Pack $46.80 @ The Bottle-O

430

Absolutely love this stuff, and an absolute ripper of a deal! It is likely the retailer has confused this with Balter Easy Hazy which is typically around this price.

Regardless, I purchased three packs through Dan Murphy's price match. I have a feeling that if you were to order this online through The Bottle-O, you might receive Easy Hazy instead (just my hunch)..

Normal RRP $75

Shows up as 66$ in WA

  • How does this compare to stone and wood pacific ale?

      • +2

This is a different style, and a great example of a Hazie mild IPA at that.

        • LOL wow, it seems a lot of people don't like S&W.

@[Deactivated]: Lived around Byron Bay some years ago, and had it on tap a decade ago at the Railway Hotel when first new and although I liked the fresh fruity style in summer, I used to get indigestion from on scooner, second even worse. I don't mind the odd stubbie, but always prefer their "Cloud Catcher",
especially on tap. Similar to "Little Creatures Pale Ale" which I like a lot, but a good IPA even more.

This isn't as sweet, and it's a lot stronger.

Let me guess, real men drink VB. Right?

        • No, I prefer Range, MC or Banks. Balter and S&W went downhill quality wise. I'm happy to pay a premium for a decent beer.

          • @d86: Fair call. I agree, S&W is not the same beer that it was 2 years ago. Cloud catcher isn’t to bad though. Just can’t find it in Vic.

Since Stone and Wood sold out Pacific Ale turned into absolute garbage and Balter Hazy is amazing. While different style, the Balter is in a completely different league.

      apples and oranges.

Pacific Ale and Hazy IPA are 2 different things.

Surely Dan's would need it to be in stock nearby to price match?

  • $46.80was $52.00 - ???

  • Can’t get in VIC

Added to cart then had to make an account to check out and now I can't add it to cart anymore :'(

    • Same!

Just go to your local Dan’s and price match

  • +2

Customer service at Dan's price matched it at 45.80 for me. Quick and easy through the chat.

    • How without it being in the website?

      • Just add to the cart and get the live chat rep to adjust the price

Don't love this one, was given a bunch for free and don't really rate it compared to a Windjammer IPA or something of that caliber

16 cans is not a slab.

    • For craft drinkers this is the norm

    • Buy 3, then you have 2 old skool slabs, still cheap at this price.

  • I used to think this hazy ipa was a good beer until I tried the beers from this deal
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/685882

    • Balter Hazy is still a great widely available hazy. Most places don't have Range, Mountain Culture, Banks, etc.

Thanks OP for sharing. I was able to get my local Dan’s to price match and I picked up 4 cases. I owe you a beer or 16 😉
