Looking for a Chair - Help Needed

Hi all, I'm looking for a new desk chair, something a little different. I like the look of this one here but I want proper leather, not PU. I want it to age nicely. Black or brown I'm not sure yet, but real leather. I'm in Melbourne. Any suggestions? Thanks!

The pic is a copy of a famous designer chair, not something I know a lot about, but somebody will be along in a minute with the name, I am sure.
I wanted to say Eames Eiffel, but the pics ongoogle look a little different.

    • It bugged me that I couldn't find the source of this common design, so I went looking. Unfortunately, it is so commonly copied I couldn't find anything useful. I will drop this related Google images link which might give you some ideas for follow up. Apologies if it has a bunch of tracking IDs.

If your heart is set on that specific design, I'd buy and get it/them upholstered in real leather locally.

So much of what's sold locally is faux/PU/vegan BS.

Personally I prefer real leather, so am always expect/prepared to pay a far higher price…

Second hand. Try the usual stuff Gumtree etc, and any of the commercial disposal places. Plenty of businesses closing down, and there are even places who sell display home furniture, But you need to do the googling to find them. Check out auction sites too.
Plan B find a sturdy frame and get it reupholstered. It will cost $$$, but you won't avoid that if you want something that lasts and ages well.

If you want the ages look be prepared to pay a lot for it. There’s different quality leathers so even a cheap but really leather version of it won’t get the ages look you’re after

Best would be to buy it and get it Re holstered (getting it second hand and then doing it this way may also be an option).

The chair looks like a mid century modern chair but I’m not sure if it is a replica or something that was designed to look like a mid century modern chair?

when the music stops sit on the nearest available, choice made

  • Auction houses are great at getting older style chairs and already aged
