Moss back in stock!

Moss is a great addition to any tank: It removes nutrients and waste from the water column which helps with algae and keeping the tank clean. It is a great addition to hardscape such as drift wood or other decorations as well. It can be attached in may ways, from thread to glue but we prefer to "jam it" into cracks and let it grow out around the decoration and attach itself off its own accord.

It also is a great addition to any shrimp tank, providing plenty of surface area for shrimp to graze on.

Also note we usually send a bit more than what is shown on our website. Depending on the aquarium size we would usually recommend getting a few clumps to really cover it, but there is no reason not to just grab one if that is all you would like.

  • Would still be keen for another smorgasbord like https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/780971

Actually it seems like the price is still valid but the deal is marked expired?

Ozbargain posts automatically expires after a month, they can be set to long-running but they expire again if in that time the deal is finished.

Ozbargain also has a limit on how many posts I can do, so I can't post every deal when it comes back available on in stock - we have a lot of deals/products that go in and out of stock often, so I only post here the items which have been unavailable the longest, are an actually good deal and I haven't posted about it a while or the biggest sales when they become available.

        Makes sense.
        Keep the deals coming

  • only $1 cheaper?

    • As in almost 20% cheaper? Yup!

  • Is this likely to become food for Angelfish, Clown Loaches, Yoyo Loaches, Catfish, Barb Tetras or Mollies?

I also put 5 of these in my shopping cart for delivery in Sydney metro and its still coming up with Parcel Post (2-5 days) is $11.00 and Express is $14.

    • Corrected! Thanks for letting me know. Your postage should be $3 or $14, express has unfortunately increased because of postage price increases, but you should be fine to get 5 in a letter.

Also, don't believe the others but possibly loaches. Its a fairly tough moss though, so only fish that really eat a lot of plants will eat it.

  • Can put in plant terrarium
    ?

    • Yes, as long as it is very damp it should be alright: You need to adjust it slowly though, it needs to start with constant water presence but over time will adjust so it survives in just damp areas.

  • Hi OP,

Would the moss thrive in an outdoor pond in Melbourne weather?

    • Its hard to say, it should survive but not really propagate too much.

  • Do you offer pick up and would this be ok if I put it in with my turtle?

    • I do not know about turtles sorry. But pickup is fine.
