  • I wasn't able to find the Ticwatch 5 Pro listed on Ozbargin.

Is that because you were looking on the NZ site?

I own a ticwatch pro 3, still on wear 2.0. Google assist no longer works on device 😔

  • I did this same trick back in August same price $441.99.

Overall it's a good watch and a improvement on the Ticwatch Pro 3. Battery life if around 2-3 days with all the sensors enabled. The quick charge is definitely a great feature when low on battery. I do have some problems where the sleep and heart sensors would randomly stop working and only restarting the watch would fix it. It's happened twice to date.

The wallet/google pay is a bit hit and miss. It would work maybe 50% of the time.

Don't bother if you want more than one OS version upgrade.

    Whenever that comes, that is.

Looks less and less likely with each passing day until we hit their latest announced release date of end of Q3, then we know it was yet another lie.

And they've now spaffed out some more bullshit by promising the compass will be re-enabled when they do release it.

It's worth noting that Ticwatch have a Wear OS 3.0 Beta for the 3 series and it only received its latest build a couple of weeks ago. I'm confident there will be a full release.

    • Nice, need it on my ticwatch pro 3 lte.

    • They said they were going to do a beta. And I've seen a couple of people claim to be in it. But if it is happening then they're all sticking to their NDA because nothing's leaked. Highly sceptical it's happening. And Mobvoi have, what, 12 working days left to hit the absolute very very end of their latest release date announcement of "starting Q3 2023". Which is what they said in 2022. And they missed a number of dates before then. Anyone thinking the 3 series will get an update is dreaming. And it's why people should be aware this Pro 5 is shipping with 3.5, and 4 is basically already out - this Pro 5 is outdated before it's out the box and is unlikely to see any update. It will become useless pretty quick in comparison to Samsung's commitment to 5 years of support for their watches.

  • Does it have google assist?

    • Nope. And unlikely to ever get it based on Mobvoi's track record of updates.

    Do not buy this brand.
If you want get further OS update.
I really regret bought Ticwatch pro 3 ultra

  • I've seen they have dropped the price again. Are there any better deals than $441?

Anyone got one and actually happy with it despite the lack of updates?

There are quite a few positive comments on e.g. Reddit and Facebook. People seem to quite like it. But they gave out so many for free and asked them to post to various places it's sometimes hard to weed out the actual genuine comments.

Would probably be OK for a year or so until Mobvoi, Google and all the other app developers drop support for it.

      • Yeah this leaves me in 2 minds. The only other watch with Wear OS and a battery close is the 5 Pro which to me looks pretty ugly with the dish look. I'm kinda hoping more watches will come out before xmas with the new snapdragon CPU.

When Qualcomm launched the W5 processor about 18 months ago they claimed that in addition to the Ticwatch Pro 5, over 20 devices were in the pipeline. Since then the Ticwatch Pro 5 is, I believe, still the only one to have been released. Some of the usual rumour sites are saying a next Pixel Watch will have a version of it.
