Just got a "Your order is currently out of stock" "purchase has been refunded" text
Party is over, my order was cancelled and refunded
Ordered last night and got an "out of stock" text today
My wife got an email saying they're cancelling all orders after 5pm yesterday and to re-order if she wants the item. Expect cancellation emails.
Pretty lame and dishonest. Just own up and admit that they couldn't fulfil all the orders instead of saying all items were out of stock.
Agreed. And I paid an extra $35 on top for my order, so it wasn't just a freebie purchase. Disappointed. I was excited for my Star Wars Orbitkey. 😔
They really could say anything they want… I guess Out of Stock was the easiest.
You don't know how many entitled consumers there are out there that will swear, berate, yell and guilt trip retail workers, especially when you say it was a mistake. I have witnessed a few in my lifetime and that is me as a customer waiting in line to be served.
Look back at the past pricing error deals and read through the comments. My take on these deals is put your money in and see where it goes… either you get it refunded and a voucher, or it gets fulfilled.

You'd think they could just say they were cancelling because they didn't want to fulfil the promo code.
Saying they are out of stock is such a cop-out, I figured it was 50/50, but lying about it is a bit meh.
Another company thrown into my trash bin, along with Harvey Norman and the like.
I added 3 different items and they were all showing in stock at the time of ordering. Items not in stock couldn't be added to cart anyway.
Definitely prefer honesty over blatantly lying.

Wierd. I placed an order earlier this morning, and it's not been cancelled yet.
The items I ordered that were in stock at time of order are still in stock at time of writing this comment. Have yet to receive cancellation email. Potentially a genuine inventory error? Will come back with any updates
Definitely not a genuine inventory error. Promo got abused and they don't want to own up to it, so just said everything is out of stock. Haven't seen anyone's order get fulfilled, all are out of stock. Their shelves must have been empty then 😂

Got this - purchased a Lamy pen. "Your order has been canceled
Order MG-806094 was canceled because we suspect it is fraudulent and your payment has been refunded"I asked in the chat and all they said was:
"Thank you for getting in touch about your recent order. We experienced fraudulent activity on our site overnight and all orders between the times of 5:00pm 13/09/2023 and 8:30am 14/09/2023 had to be automatically cancelled and refunded.We apologise for any inconvenience caused here. You're welcome to place another order at this time and if you have any further concerns, please don't hesitate to get back in touch."
Potentially there were a lot of accounts created to take advantage of the erroneously created coupon code. Imagine multiple orders coming through for like $1, resellers mainly… see the fountain pen post where there were comments about resellers buying it and then listing it on eBay. You could clean out a company like this, especially if the orders weren't from legitimate retail customers.

It would be a shame to see a business burn bridges in Ozbargain - they should just be honest if they are cancelling orders.
I ordered two bottles of ink and my order is still sitting as unfulfilled. I wonder if they are ever going to ship or cancel it…
same, i ordered 3 things. With shipping my order came to $18 after the code. Mine still says"unfulfilled". I ordered at 7:02am but it hasnt been cancelled and refunded as of yet.
Same here. I also ordered with the code, but my order came to $84 and it's still active, hasn't been cancelled yet, but status is "unfulfilled". I might contact them tomorrow morning if nothing changes.
