Awesome deal, I wish I could take advantage of it but I’ve got plenty on-hand and more on the way! Highly recommended merchant.

    • Morning @Chazzozz what an outstanding way to kick off the comments!!!

Thank you so much for your complimentary words, they really do mean so much. I'm glad this deal's a winner for you, fingers crossed you'll be able to jump on more orders when the rest of November's dispatch dates become available :)

Hey @rbaggio that's fantastic to hear, thank you so much for your order!

  • Whoever tried this blend before what it is like in regards acidity? And what %% of SO in it?

    • Morning @Sidor always good to check first!

As per our product page description the acidity level is comparable to that of a pink lady apple, so it's in the medium level of acidity. We focus on the flavour profile when creating a blend, as such the components change due to availability/seasonality, but the overall flavour profile remains. If you're keen on the flavour profile and exact origin of a coffee then I'd recommend jumping on our Single Origin coffee range :)

      • -1

Are you also able to include a more universal description such as medium level of acidity . It's much easier to know straight away and compare across different beans.

        • +1

Ah yes, the universally agreed upon medium standard. So consistent and helpful across brands, countries and marketing material.

          • -1

@quorg: I think it will be helpful for comparing across the different beans Lime Blue has. If one bean is granny smith and another is orange for a lay person that's not a useful comparison. If one bean was 4/10 for acidity and another was 7/10 it's more useful to compare between the beans that you've had.

            • @Jacko1235: Hm. I agree that the numbers could be useful to compare between different lime blue beans. I do think a flavour profile of a Granny Smith means more to me than numbers for acidity, bitterness etc.

  • Hi lads, I'm new to this. If I buy let's say 2KG and what is the best way to store it? Fridge?

    • Morning @timliu1996 2kg sounds like a terrific order!

Glad you reached out to check, always better to ask than wonder. Any fresh coffee stored at ambient room temperature is best enjoyed within roughly a month. If 2kg will take you longer than a month to get through then I highly recommend putting one of the sealed bags in your freezer (not fridge) while you get stuck into the other bag :)

      • Thanks for the reply! By "sealed bags" do you mean the unopened bag straight into freezer or repack them into a zip bag then freezer?

        • +1

Nice follow up question @timliu1996 "unopened bag straight into freezer," if you have a zip lock bag big enough for the coffee bag then I'd recommend putting the sealed coffee bag into the zip lock bag and then into the freezer. If your zip lock bag isn't big enough then no stress, coffee bag straight in the freezer should be fine :)

  • Looking for some for a cold brew what coarse grind would I select on the ordering page.?

    • Morning @SirNed great question!

Plunger grind should be the winner for you :)

  • I've been enjoying the decaf after I have my standand shot in the mornings.

    • Morning @fez fantastic to hear, love that combo :)

  • Perfect timing thank you ☺️

    • Terrific @Cacao you're most welcome, got to love perfect timing :)

  • Ordered. I always order SO but keen to try your moments memories blend!

    • Morning @Deal-Sniper that's fantastic to hear, very happy you're giving Moments a shop, thank you so much!

Fingers crossed you love it :)

  • @LimeBlueCoffee Can I open a bag, take out some of the beans and put the rest of the bag in the freezer?

    • Morning @SmashedMango sure, that's fine, I just wouldn't recommend continually taking beans out and putting it back in the freezer. I've personally done it (taken a bag of coffee in an out of the freezer) without any negative impact on flavour, but I know it does increase the chance of freezer burn which is why I'm not recommending you do it. However, if you'd like to roll the dice knowing you may very slightly increase the risk of freezer burn then go wild :)

  • Ordered 2kgs

    • +1

Absolutely fantastic, thank you so much @honkyb your order really does mean a lot!

  • Thanks ordered another kg

    • Amazing, we sincerely appreciate your order @fedwood thank you so much :)

  • For those of us experimenting with one of these Bialetti things… safe to say we should select "stovetop grind" if we don't have our own grinder?

    • Coffee experiments are always a good time @kudoz :)

Spot on, stovetop grind should be the winner for you!

  • Going to try the Moments, but waiting for the Brazil São Paulo Single Origin to go on offer.

    • Terrific to hear you're giving Moments a shot @bargainhuntr fingers crossed you love it!

Thank you so much for placing another order with us, your continued patronage really does mean so much :)

  • I ordered some to try. I will use immediately!

What is the best storage for the open bag -
    on the bench top
    or in the fridge
    or in the freezer?

    • +2

If you're going to consume it within a month or two then use this https://www.amazon.com.au/Planetary-Design-Stainless-Contain…

    • +2

If you're going to consume it within a month or two then get an airscape or equivalent

      • Is a glass jam jar (stored in dark pantry) ok to store grounded coffee for periods?

        • It needs to be as air tight as possible. If you're a big coffee drinker then investing $50 in a good one is well worth it.

    • +1

Hey @check terrific to hear you've placed your first order with us, thank you so much!

Nice question, it's fine to leave any coffee you'll consume within about a month in the bag at ambient room temperature. No real advantage to storing in a fridge. Any coffee that'll take for much more than a month to get through I'd highly recommend storing in your freezer ideally in an airtight container or the coffee bag it's delivered in :)

  • Running out of beans, Can I click and collect in Melbourne? TIA.

    • +1

Hey @Nokia 808 never hurts to ask :)

At present for a number of reasons we don't offer click and collect, this is something we will revisit again in the future. You could always opt for Express shipping which will hopefully arrive the next day or roll the dice with Couriers Please as they sometimes do VIC-VIC same day delivery. I ordered some packaging sent via Couriers Please this morning and it arrived this afternoon…super speed!

  • And about the freezing. can it be done with ground coffee as well or only the beans?

    • Hey @SirNed great question!

I have tried it out of curiosity and it did work. However, I will confess I haven't extensively tested freezing pre-ground coffee as much as I have tested freezing whole beans. As such, although it should work fine, I can't say it'll work with the same high level of certainty that I have with freezing whole beans :)

  • hey OP to me 1kg of Moments comes to $29.10 not 25.50?

    • +1

Hey @botchie appreciated the double check!

I believe you may have 1kg in 500g bags selected AKA 2x500g bags as opposed to 1kg in a 1kg bag. On the product page under the packaging menu you can select between 500g and 1kg bags, you should see an instant price change when you select 1kg bag packaging :)

  • AIRJO vs this one, which one is the best?

    • +1

It's subjective, and there are so many different blends, why don't you give them both a go?

  • Hey @LimeBlueCoffee,

Just looking to place a order but just wondering… what do you think is your nicest filter coffee at the moment?
Something to run through my moccamaster every morning!

    • Hey @steelchain it's exciting to hear you're keen to place your first order with us!

Great questions, I'll just need a bit more info to match with a great answer:
      1) on a scale of 1 to 10, 1 being fruity, 10 being chocolate, what's your ideal number?
      2) on a scale of 1 to 10, 1 being high in acidity, 10 being low in acidity, what's your ideal number?
      3) on a scale of 1 to 10, 1 being high in sweetness, 10 being low in sweetness, what's your ideal number?
      4) on a scale of 1 to 10, 1 being full bodied, 10 being light bodies, what's your ideal number?
      5) Do you have your coffee black or with a dash of milk? From your comment I assume black, but worth checking.

      • Hey!!
Strangely not my first order from you guys! I ordered your South Central Blend during lockdown and still to this day it's one of the best milk based blends I've had!
        1) 3
        2) 7
        3) 3
        4) 8
        5) Filter black always black!
I'm a big fan of geshia's but I'm after something that more of a every day drink… So not as in your face and doesn't cost me $4 a cup haha
I also drink milk based coffee but I'll grab your blend for that!

        • Morning @steelchain WOW sounds like long time between drink, we're very happy to hopefully have you back in the mix and thank you so much for that wonderful compliment about our South Central blend, brings a smile!

          Very helpful numbers and info.

          A few options for you:

          • El Salvador Usulután Carbonic Maceration Single Origin. based on your numbers I think this could be a winner for you, but I do note it is on the higher side of price due to the unique CM processing, so might break the bank for everyday use
          • Colombia Santa Elena Single Origin. based on your numbers I think this could be a winner for you, I believe it's well priced for everyday use and for the uniqueness extremely good value for money, but the fruity notes are "in your face"
          • Colombia Cauca Single Origin. based on your numbers I think this could be a winner for you, I believe it's well priced for everyday use, it is fruity, but not "in your face," so may be the safest bet for you

Stay tuned into Lime Blue Coffee when you're in a splurging Geisha mood, we'll be launching Geshia from Ecuador and Panama some time in the near future, just not sure exactly when yet :)

  • Ordered, really like the delay option, allowing planning ahead.

Have been alternating between LB and AirJo purely out of breaking it up a bit. My wife loves the Colombian AirJo but also the brazil SO from LB, and I'm about the decafs. Both excellent and look after OzBargainers. Cheers!

  • @LimeBlueCoffee Hello! I bought some Brazil São Paulo Single Origin from you guys but found it too acidic. I followed the package instruction for milk coffee (1:1 ratio) but the resulting shot was too acidic for me. I tried to grind a bit finer, but the shot would choke.
Now I understand that it could be the machine, the grinder, or just bad tamping… Nevertheless, do you by any chance have any advice or recommendation for me? Thank you in advance!

    • Hey @yyhazy WOW thank you for your order and such a considerately worded query!!!

Very nice details, super helpful :)

Our Brazil São Paulo Single Origin is relatively low in acidity, as such I believe there's an easy fix for you, which is great news. Reading in between the lines I believe either your grind is too fine or dose too high, this is causing your shot to channel. Channeling (you may have heard the term, but worth mentioning just in case) is where pressure builds too high, the coffee puck fractures and the water finds the path of least resistance to relieve the pressure. This leads the water to bypass the coffee and thus resulting in an unextracted shot. Unextraction is generally perceived as being sour/higher in acidity, watery (lacking body/texture) and has a thin crema. So I can give you a more direct solution, could you please let me know the exact make and model of your equipment and how much coffee you're currently dosing into the coffee basket?

      • Appreciate it!

The machine is a delonghi dedica ec885. I've set the temperature to "high".

The grinder is a timemore c3 at 8 clicks. 9 clicks (finer) results in zero espresso :(, and 7 is too acidic. At 8 click if I tamp a bit too hard it still chocks a bit.

I'm using the double basket that came with the machine. It takes about a maximum of 15g which is what I use. 15g beans to about 15g coffee. I thought about getting a bottomless portafilter (the one that came with the machine is pressurised) but people seem to think that doesn't help much. Also some concerns about the quality of a third party product.

I have however ordered a cheap WDT tool. It should get here next week!

  • Hi Tom, is this blend weaker compared to colombia?

    • Hey @dna4 appreciate you taking the time to reach out!

I wouldn't say it's weaker or stronger, it's just different. Your comment can be interpreted in a multitude of ways, so I can be more helpful to you could you please provide a bit more info about your query? Which Colombia are you referring to, our Cauca or Santa Elena? Was the Colombia flavour too bold or not bold enough for you? Do you have milk or enjoy coffee black? How are you making coffee and on what equipment? Is your ideal coffee more chocolate or fruity?

  • Hi Tom, any deals on Brazil SO coming soon (or better yet, another round of FBC?) I'm almost out! Might buy some moments to memories in the meantime :)

  • Hi Tom , i like a strong black coffee, (chocolatey) which beans would be best please?

    • +1

Hey @Hc123 appreciate you taking the time to reach out!

Our most chocolate coffee is our SWP Decaf, followed by our Brazil São Paulo Single Origin and then our Moments to Memories blend, any of this options should hopefully be a winner for you :)

  • Thanks again, just ordered a future bean refill to use after the current batch of Colombia Santa Elena runs out. 😊
I think I preferred the taste of the Moments blend compared to the Columbia one, but thankfully all the blends
i've bought from you have been good overall. Very good price for the quality!

  • Just put through an order of both MtM and the decaf, any recommended recipes for the Hario Switch?
