  • How much are the 1kg's normally?

    • +15

Due to the frequency of "deals" pretty much always around $33

Check the history of this retailer I don't need to post a year's worth of "deals" and get neg voted into oblivion I can post only 3 lines instead

      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/deals/airjo.com

      • +7

$33 was a price increase from about $30 around a year ago I believe too.

        Yupp, it's the bi-monthly 'sale'

    • +10

Hi Hy6Bo - !Kg's retail normally between $43 and $56 including Express shipping.

      I hope that helps.

      Cheers
      Dan

      • Don’t know why you’re getting negged, you’re exactly right with the price point.

        • People seem to forgot this is a consumable, it is not a one off purchase.

We have one off products advertised often and highly upvoted every time but for some reason this is criticised.

    • 33

    • $12 at Coles and Aldi for dark beans iirc, more like $15 for medium, and $19 for the premium Brazil/Columbia beans.

  • I ordered Sunday (using VIP link for 25% off) and it came Tuesday.
    So fast!

    • That's great to hear. Thanks so much for your feedback!

      Cheers
      Dan

Do you offer delayed roasting and shipping? Waiting on 1kg of beans to arrive today so won't need anything for another 2-3 weeks

    • Hey there Oldmate88 - we don't have any delay options for orders. We are all set up to roast and post asap.
Sorry we didn't nail the timing on this one to suit. Thanks for asking.

      Cheers
      Dan

      • I'd need another kilo in a couple weeks, pretty happy with the beans I got from last promo, Thanks !

        • Great to hear sinnerman - thanks for sharing!

      • So you only roast an order after the order has been placed? You don't pre-roast, then get an order a day+ later, then post?

  • +1

    Saratoga isn't displaying the discount… :(

    • Hey there Salamandersushi - make sure you go to the home page for the coffees on sale - not through search on the site.

Well that certainly would be "Heaps for Cheaps" :)

  • Breville Precision Brewer + Baratza Encore user here. What blend + settings would you recommend if I like my fruity notes.

    • Hey there seigweilo - the best way to hit the sweet spot is to dial in your specific kit with whatever you are using at the time. Trial and error, make some adjustments and try again. Absolutely happy to help when you have run a shot or two and we have some results to work with. We also have a "Dialling In" guide on our website that could be handy.

      I hope that helps.
      Cheers

Thanks op, just ran out of this - I always run 2 blends anyway (other is Aldi good at under $20 I can get anytime, or another premium local roaster but they are $45).
I have 2 good grinders so I can survive between deals….. Sumatra is a bargain for $33 delivered.

    • Thanks so much for your feedback robinsoa - great to hear you are enjoying the sumatra.

      thanks again.

Can you get 2 different 500g bags for the price of 1kg? ($33) .

Trying and testing various coffee beans to find the right ones for our household.

    • Hey ali15 - this one is just for the 1kg bags - if you let me know here or by email what type of coffee you are after and how you use it I am super confident I can find a great blend for you.

      Cheers

        Hi Dan,
I would typically buy Lucaffe Colombia but they're out of stock.
I'd like to give your coffee a go! Could you please recommend a bean for me?

        https://www.lucaffe.com.au/shop/coffee-beans/colombia-beans/

      • We like strong, with a sweet dark chocolate aftertaste for use in milk coffee.

From the beans we've tried I believe arabica robusta beans are the best so far.

      • Hi - I had no response - so I've purchased the Thunderchild - but find this too weak - do you have any suggestions for a stronger blend?

  • What would be the best blend for an intense creamy cappuccino?

    • Hey Mi2 - ok - intense as in intense coffee flavour and great crema?
If that's what you are after, our strongest flavour blend is the Thunderchild Blend.

If you want to discuss in a little more detail, shoot me an email [email protected] - happy to help you find what you need.

      Cheers
      Dan

    • Thunderchild is our go to for cappuccinos. Deep rich flavour good crema.

  • Ordered. Always keen to try a new and responsive roaster!

    • +1

Thanks so much deletedpenguin! - please do let us know how it goes for you.

      Cheers
      Dan

  • Thanks. Ordered a Sumatra. 😊

    • Great stuff canberra22 - thank you.

  • I recently got into pour over filter coffee, what would be best?

    • Hi jonske - I would recommend either the Sumatra or Pegasus as a great place to start for you.
Super keen to hear how your choice goes for you.

      I hope that helps.
      Cheers
      Dan

  • There's a lots of options, i wonder which is the best for long black & flat white?

    • Hi Mrulax - it really depends on what you like. We used to run the Enterprise Blend in our coffee van as it's a great blend for most types and methods.
I recommend you try that one to start with.

      Thanks for asking.
      Cheers
      Dan

      • Cool, Thanks Dan!

  • Thanks op, new to coffee so I'm trying SUMATRA BLEND. Any other recommendations for a newbie?

    • +1

Hey Mijak - yes, if you want to try something very different so you can get a feel of what you like, I recommend the Stargazer. It's darker than the Sumatra so you will have 2 distinct flavour profiles to enjoy.

I hope that helsp and welcome to the world of coffee :)

      Cheers
      Dan

      • Thanks Dan, I grabbed another 1kg bag - stargazer per your recommendation.

  • Hi Dan @AIRJO CoffeeRoasters

    What do you recommend:

I normally order Mochas (what am I, a child? ;)

So love a thick/ creamy dark chocolate.

Cannot stand citrus / floral / aniseed notes (tastes like descaler). Nor thin coffee with no texture/ crema.

Extra kudos if you have a normal and decafe option.

    Cheers legend.

    • fyi, do you know how decaf beans are made?

      • Hi ripprind - our Decaf is swiss water Decaf.

        I hope that helps.
        Thanks for asking.
        Cheers
        Dan

        • -1

yes, all methods are basically the same.
Caffeine And FLAVOURS are washed out of the beans by a solvent and then REintroduced to the beans.

may as well drink instant coffee at this point.

    • Hey there tunzafun001 - Enterprise Blend is your go to here for sure. It sits in the middle of our range so not too dominant in either direction in terms of flavour. The Decaf is also delicious and should be what you are looking for.

      Thanks so much for asking.

      Cheers
      Dan

  • +1

Any chance the decaf is coming back in stock?

  • Hi Dan @AIRJO CoffeeRoasters

How long is the sale running for?

    Thanks!

  • Hi Dan
May I know what type of grind suits my Delonghi coffee machine?

    My model is EC885.M

    • And I'm keen to have the one with more smooth but not bitter taste. Could you give me any advice?

  • @ Airjo Coffee Roaster

Which whole bean coffee would you recommend for making lattes? We place a high value on achieving a good crema and a strong flavor since we typically brew doubles. Our coffee machine is the Sunbeam EM7000 Café Series with a Conical Burr Grinder.

    Thank you in advance

    • Fellow EM7000 user here (with a Sette 270 grinder) - I'll be giving the Stargazer blend a go. Nicaraguan beans usually cut through Milk coffee nicely. Given it's a dark roast, it should be pretty friendly with our coffee machine too.

  • First time purchaser, normally use ALDI Beans for economy but have ordered "Sumatra" hoping it will be strong and delicious. Fingers Crossed.

    • +1

I think you will find the AirJo beans vastly superior.

    • It gets recommended a lot but I'm not sure why. If you're expecting strong you'll probably be disappointed, I got it because everyone kept mentioning it was good but it just seemed weak, others have commented the same thing.

Grabbing Stargazer this time around, and might grab a Thunderchild next time.

      • +2

The absolute legends at AIRJO have been kind enough to change my order to Stargazer! Stoked!

      • Thunderchild should really be renamed as THOR!

  • Bought, thanks!

  • Whats good for milk alternative (mainly oat milk)?

  • You make it sound cheap ?

    • +1

$33 for 1kg of coffee from a reputable company express shipped to your door free…I would call that cheap, don't know what you would call it.

    • -1

All you do on this site is complain. Nothing useful or constructive.

$33 is cheap for decent beans, not to mention the express shipping.

      Stick to International Roast

      • -1

Nothing wrong with International Roast 🥱

  • Not working 1kg Stargazer. Pinged you on chat.

UPDATE: Website gremlins. Order from home page.

  • OP wanted to try some new beans.

I drink black coffee only. Something strong but not too much. something taste good when grinded as I have a filter coffee machine at home.

Can u pls recommend a bag?

    Thanks.

  • You know when Decaf coming back in stock?

I usually buy that and add another blend for trial, Hard for me to place an order without decaf.

  • Thanks guys, bought the Enterprise blend for my Aeropress and looking forward to it!

  • decaf OOS, :(

  • Sumatra or Twilight?

I usually have long blacks and like it smooth with a nice light brown crema on top
