meh - 10% isn't worth it. They used to give 20% off, which barely scrapped through at being worth considering.

These apps have ~20-30% inflated food prices + delivery fees/hidden fees..

Good for the current promo on 40% off for groceries (after fees it’s about 30% off if you’re having DashPass)

  • thanks. just in time for my ice cream from coles.

    Yeah, 15% is my minimum…..pass

    • Even 20% still expensive

  • Good choice to offset service charge

Tempting but not worth it with ShopBack. Those scammers still owe me $171.

    • did you mean those deliveroo gift cards? shopback refunded them.

      • No, was referring to ShopBack not paying cashback after changing energy provider. Doesn't seem like anyone received cashback for energy/internet deals that went via eConnex.

        • If that's the case it'll be eConnex, and not shopback who are to blame. You're directing your anger in the wrong direction.

Personally I've done almost $900 of cashback through shopback with no issues.

          • @mahdoo: Good to hear they are generally reliable. I was simply going by my experience and the recent forum post where lots of people were sharing similar experiences of cashback rarely being honoured for larger amounts. Agree the issue could be eConnex, however they are just the hidden middleman - it was a ShopBack promo so they shouldn't mass reject cashbacks if eConnex doesn't pay them.

I've done internet through eConnex once and got the wws gift card…you might contact them and ask.

          • @enyacat: Yeah I've done the same before and received the gift card from eConnex. This was a ShopBack promo and eConnex was just the middleman. ShopBack refuses to pay even though I was very careful to do everything correctly and received successful transfer email from eConnex.

@flyingcactus: My husband did it and I think it needed to be after a few month and then contact eConnex for the gift card

              • @enyacat: Thanks but what I mean is the ShopBack Tango Energy deal I'm owed $171 for only involved eConnex behind the scenes. After 4 months, ShopBack won't pay due to a technical issue on their end affecting many people. It shouldn't be on the onus of the customer to follow up whether their third party paid them the commission and doubt eConnex would tell me anyway.
