  No question is stupid if you do not know the answer. This is cleaning station for the new version of Braun 7 shaver or razor as you say. I have old version of Braun 7 and its cleaning station which is not this one. Regardless of the model, every Braun shaver user must have relevant cleaning station. I used to clean it under tap water, i purchased cleaning station difference is day and night.

Bought the recent Braun 5, so will be giving this a go, was holding out for $50 but hmm may as well before they replace it
