Paris (Latin Quarter) Restaurant with kids

Hi everyone

Looking for recommendation for restaurants in the Latin quarter of Paris. There are hundreds around and I though some fellow ozbargainers could help if they have been recently. Doesn’t need to have “kids menu”, but be accepting of kids

A nice view would be nice as well as outdoor dining.

Doesn’t need to be “Michelin star”, just something comfortable.

just wander and find a place. it's paris. relatively high density living so plenty of restaurants

  • Lots of nice stuff around, and in that area they are all catered to visitors and tourists. Particularly along the river front.

On the opposite side of the river is Le Trumilou which I really like, big servings of bistro classics and a bit of space to stretch out.

If you want somewhere to stretch out, I really like the Restaurant La Mosquée de Paris. It's on the back side of the grand mosque, lots of room, great food and a beautiful setting. Also worth a walk through the big building too.

You could try one of the many North African couscous restaurants. Kids will like couscous with sausages.

  • There is a very touristy area right across the notre-dame centred around the Church of Saint-Séverin. Seems to be vibrant enough with a good mix of restaurants with outdoor terraces, bars etc. There is also a very nice antique/second hand book store called The Abbey Bookshop in that area.

  • Look for a decent Prix Fixe at lunch time. Also ensure you have your translator on you. The French are quite keen on offal. Generally, in Paris we get some sandwiches from the Boulanger, some desserts from the Patisserie and then some wine and cheese from the Supermarket and have an upmarket picnic. Also go along to the markets and look at the produce for salads and cold meats. We get an airbnb with a kitchen and it is relatively easy to rustle up a meal based on local produce.
