Not bad and works out to be $1.61 per if you do the additional first SS option for additional 5%

Also currently $2 per if you dont need bulk

    • could we cancel the subscribe options immediately?

I always cancel right away and never had an issue. Probably done it like 50+ times in the last few years.

Would recommend 1.5L Pocari Sweat from your local asian supermarket for ~$4.50 as a similar value alternative everyday.

    Good deal bought 2 thanks!

I ticked the "Apply 5% coupon" and then added it to my cart, and switched to S&S for further 10% savings. Ended up being $18.27

    • could we cancel the subscribe options immediately?

      • I usually set it to a 6 month interval than cancel after it arrives.

      • Yes, I do this every time after purchase and have never had an issue.

  • Good deal. Thanks

Anyone tried the powder? Coles has it atm for $10.40 for 500g which makes 8L.

    • Powerade is just sugar, a pinch of sodium and potassium, and a handful of flavors and colors.
I opted to mix my own sugar water for long workouts ($2 for 1kg of sugar, which makes 16L)

      • +10

        … but is it blue?

      • +3

Yes, but if you need hydration, the combination of sugar and sodium works.

    • +1

Agreed. 1 plastic container instead of 12 bottles. Half the price too. Can mix with soda water for a nice fizzy taste

    • Yes we use it all the time. It tastes the same and works out much cheaper than the pre-bottled version

  • It's very easy to make your own sugar water. The ingredients are water, sugar, salt, citric acid, and food coloring.

From what i read, these are pointless and your better off getting the electrolytes powder packs you have when you have diarrhea or training and sweating buckets. Funny its under sports and health drinks with 1.5 star rating.
Be interested who has these when training.

      • +6

They are not pointless, considering you see most sports people drinking them on gamedays. Yes, it its cheaper if you use powder form, but Gatorade/Powderade are still suitable for ease of access.

Here is a simplified video comparing Prime/Gator/Power.

Not pointless at all. Encouraged to drink these by oncologists and hospital staff as a good source of electrolytes/hydration, despite the sugar content (there are sugar-free ones too).

      • For endurance athletes these are very beneficial. Aside from the electrolytes and sodium they are an easy effective way to get simple carbohydrates to top up your glycogen stores in the days leading up to an event and during the event itself where without replacing the glcogen you will deplete all your stores which means you will hit a wall, begin cramping up etc
Health star ratings start flipping on their heads when it comes to endurance events

  • any of the no sugar/ carb bottles on offer?

  • +1

Got it, the first time I'm able to before expired.

  • Where's the 5% coupon?

    • Looks like that's not there anymore my guy

Does it contain artificial colouring that has evidence of causing cancer?

    • Of course, that's the tastiest part!

    • No, it doesn’t have anything on the label that says it contains “artificial colouring that has evidence of causing cancer”, which isn’t unexpected, since that “evidence” pertains to rodents, not human consumption which is at a scientifically safe level.
