Also on sale are all of Valve's main titles. That sale ends tomorrow 3am (20/9). Price of individual games are slashed and there is a bundle discount (of varying percentages for each bundle) on top.

The Valve Complete Pack is a convenient buy, but contains some niche games that are full price - i.e. Deathmatch Classic and Ricochet. If you don't care for these and you have time, you can add up the various smaller bundles listed on the other deal to get only the games you're interested in. Might be just several dollars difference though shrugs

          This is exactly what they did with Alyx.

          VR will have to be a lot more mainstream, for many years, for them to ever make their money back on that one (let alone all the money they could have made by instead making that team add something to DOTA or steam).

          It's extremely telling that no one else has many a huge AAA VR game. Still.

          But they did it anyway because they wanted to push gaming forward again.

        To be fair, they do make games. They've just expressed multiple times that they aren't interested in making games for games sake, they only want to make games around novel features, or that push technical boundaries. Who knows how true that is vs rationalising laziness or mismanagement, but they did make Alyx…

    I keep getting this error when i go to purchase it from my cart? At the screen where you pick your payment method. I am overseas but i tried my VPN etc in case thats causing the issue. Tried from my laptop browser, laptop steam app, Mobile steam app. All 3 produce the same error message : - "There seems to have been an error initializing or updating your transaction. Please wait a minute and try again or contact support for assistance."

    Odd I just tried connecting to my PC back in sydney and i still get the error so its not some overseas / different region issue. Its something else? is purchases blocked on my account?

      If you've tried a different payment method and still not working, might have to contact Steam Support.

      Or, possibly … create another steam account, buy from there and gift it to your main acc if you need it in a hurry. Haven't tried this myself, DYOR and GL.

    I see a lot of praise for Black Mesa but IMO it was so bad I didn't even bother finishing it.

    Aesthetically it's beautiful, but anyone who was a fan of the original is likely to find the movement is tragically bad. Made by a team of talented artists that must not have played the original enough to know that it brought more than just aesthetics and story to the table.

    Does this game get better? I have two hours play time and I don't remember much about the game. I think I tried it out last month..
