man that was quick, i literally just saw the popup for price hipster's newsletter!

    • How do you get price hipsters newsletter? Never knew there was one

      • +1

Click button that says secret dashboard then signup

  • Looks like it might be interesting. Will have a look.

Are these in the chocolate isle?

    • It's under dried fruit, so I would say it would be with the nuts and stuff.

      • +10

Beware of the eclectic Coles layout — there are nuts all over the place

        • +8

          This…
          1. Scoop and mix - scoop and mix nut options.
          2. Shelves next to scoop and weigh - salted/flavoured/premium nuts.
          3. Fresh produce section - Large bags (400g-1kg) of coles brand nuts (raw/roasted &salted).
          4. Health food isle - other brands of nuts and small expensive organic bags. On the other side of the isle there is also the single size nut snack options.
          5. Snack food isle - the expensive salted, mixed nut and coated options.
          6. Chocolate isle - the nuts covered in chocolate.
          7. Cooking isle - crushed nuts/chopped nuts and shelled pistachios and further down pine nuts etc.
          8. Checkout counter - small bags of Nobbys (Jk pretty sure these are only at Woolies)

@OpticalCog: Don't forget the end caps. Almost any packaged food can go at the start or end of each aisle.

          • +1

@OpticalCog: I always use coles app and that direct exact isle, you can change it store by store.

      • Ok thanks.

    • +11

Tell me, how do I reach this mythical island?

      • +1

On a big white fluffy dragon.

        • +3

          shopping is a never-ending story

      • +3

Actually, it’s about halfway down aisle three. There is a magic doorway that opens when you scream, TAKE ME TO THE MYTHICAL ISLE OF CADBURY NOW! Don’t be discouraged if it doesn’t work the first time. You’ll be well on your way before the cops arrive, anyway

        • +4

Are you sure you're not thinking of aisle 9¾?

      • Go south from Pen Island and follow your nose.

      • +1

Hah I slipped up this time.

  • +1

Usually on the deli counter last time I bought them

  • +2

Was just there and missed this. Love cherries in dark chocolate (not a euphemism)

    • +2

I guess you’re not as omnipotent as you thought

      • +4

Coles is too evil for even me to frequent

    • +1

Heh heh heh i bet you do you dirty bastard

      • +1

Shhh (who've you been talking to?)

    • I bet you do

  • +1

    Delicious dark balls…..mmmmm

  • They are with the nuts in the produce section.

  • for this price.. these balls are ready to be licked n eaten.

    • +1

🎶put em in your mouth and suck em🎶

      • exactly, that's wat im planning to do.

      • +1

        Don't forget the salt!

  • These deals are useless to me when I have to spend a minimum of $50 bucks

    • +5

So what are you going to do with 50 bags of dark chocolate coated cherries?

      • +2

I’ve learnt not to ask that question

  • +2

good luck finding them. My local showed it was in stock….but they aren't in stock

    • Same :(

  • +1

i like cherries and dark choco separately
    but never tried them together,

hope its not like an ice cream and curry combo,

    • +2

definitely not….cherries and dark choc a match made in heaven

    • Like lamb and tuna fish

  • +1

    Couldn’t see them at Collingwood

  • +5

    That's sugar coated with sugar.

From each 100g, you'll get 52g of sugar and 12g of fat.

Some may neg me, but it's not really healthy!

    • +10

lol, none of us thought it was healthy

    • +21

It’s the OzBargain way. Eat cheap and nasty, and then die young to both maximise the next-generation’s inheritance, and their time left to spend it

      • +4

        Very well articulated, haha

      • +4

        OzBargainomics

    • +3

Check the packet. They've got a health star so they must be good for you.

    • +2

Ahh yeah but Today Tonight said dark chocolate cures cancer so these are not only a health food, they are medicine!

    • yeah baby ! - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C7T4aQMxTTM

that said for that reason I have avoided Cinnabon and Crispy Cream D'Oh!-nuts

  • +2

Don't bother yourself as i checked 2 places and asked the staff they said they never sold a product like this

    • +14

And then they waltzed back out to the staffroom, where they went back to gorging on mountains of dark chocolate cherries.

      • wot me ? eat cherries ? I really 'ate those !

The trick is not to drive around to find stock. Just check from the website which stores have stock online. Place a $50 order of stuff that you need. Tick the box of substitute for the Coles Cherries in Dark Chocolate 180g. If they don't have stock, they will most likely give you something even more expensive.

      • But they will give you something that costs $1. I want something that is usually $5.

        • They need to give you a product similar to the one you have ordered. There isn't anything similar at Coles for $1. So they will give you something far more expensive to match the product.

  • Was looking for it earlier but didn't find it instore.
Wish the Coles website has a feature to check stocks in specific store location like woolies does.

    • +1

It has a similar one feature, you choose click and collect, choose the store nearest to you and if the store you chose has stock, it will let you "add to the cart".

I did it like that, had to go through 6 shops but finally found one close by and did a click and collect order, free with $50 purchase. Hopefully the best date is far because I got a few.

      • +1

hopefully you end up getting some. My store showed stock, but when I went down there, there was none to be found, nor anywhere in the store where they should be (i.e. no empty slot where they would stock them. Nobody seemed to know anything about them, and said there has be a change in the fresh food section, and it means that some stores stuffed it up and now stock as showing as available when it isn't

        • It was just a waste of time! I just got an email that my order didn't have any cherries, they didn't give me any substitution. I had to call and cancel the order, the only reason I did that order was because of the cherries :(

          • +4

@Cherry12: Have you ticked the box for substitution? If you did, I would advice you to complain at the manager of that store. The reason you tick that box it's if they don't have stock they need to substitute it with something similar (product) same value or with greater value.

            • @Scrooge McDeal: I ticked it and they didn't offer any substitution; but the store is not my nearest, so I preferred not to go. Maybe next time. Thanks!

      • Username checks out! 12 packets?

        • I ordered 11 and didn't get any. It showed stock.

  • Grandmother chocolates 😂

  • 83.33% off yet less +1s compared to “$2 bonus cashback on $20 choice gift cards” 😂

  • +1

They show stock in the Illawarra stores but there are actually none. My housemate has just run around trying to get them for me with no success. :(

    • Same same in Newcastle

  • +1

Well… I ended up doing an over $500 order because of these $1 chocolates… (I did have shopping to do.. school holidays.. camping… etc.) See what arrives tomorrow!

    • +1

cry they had none in stock, and didn't substitute…

      • Same :(

  • Did anyone get any for $1 or at all?
