  • Did you follow the instructions for bluetooth pairing? If the headphones were already connected to a different device previously, you might want to completely reset the headphones so that it forgets all old devices, and then try pair it again to your desktop.

Headphone is under power off and charging status, press and hold the Volume + key and volume - key simultaneously for about 3 seconds. The blue light flashes 3 times quickly. The factory settings are restored. Note: • Once the factory settings are restored, the pairing list of the headphone is erased.

    • it was connected to my previous pc its only the mic that is not working i can listen to music, movies and tv shows just fine

      • Under Playback devices when you click on the Sound Icon, do you see at least 2 devices with Edifier device name on it?

Try selecting Headset, instead of Headphones. You will then switch to Headset Profile (HSP). Note that depending on the Codec used the sound quality can be quite bad and you might only get mono sound instead of stereo.

        • can only see headset only in device manager can you see 2 options I should mention it was the same with my last machine aswell

          • @supatight: I should also mention in Bluetooth settings says ''connected mic audio''

            • @supatight: Is your input device also the headset?

              • @scrimshaw: yes when i test my microphone says ''1% of total volume''

                • @supatight: When you click Device Properties and Test microphone, do you see see this

                  • Make sure it's not disabled
                  • Volume set to 100%
                  • Try opening headset properties and click "Listen to this device" [Under the Listen tab]. Make sure you click Apply + OK or it won't work

(Try clapping and saying something, you should hear yourself talking into the mic)

If you can hear yourself, the mic is working. But you might not have configured your app to use the correct microphone, or you did not allow access to the microphone under Microphone settings (Windows)

                  • @scrimshaw: I only have headphones in that section not headset disabled device not connected devices showing i click on listen to device and just a buzzing sound

                  • @scrimshaw: tried all this already no luck :(

  • I once hooked up a Bluetooth headset/headphones and found if I set them up as headphones the microphone didn't work. Had to be setup as headset.

    • headset is in the recording section i have both but for some reason the mic doesn't work

      • Mute button on the wire may be pressed, if there is one

        • I don't think there is one

          • @supatight: Try long press for 2 seconds on volume + button to unmute.

  • ebay Bluetooth usb

    Make and model?

  • +1

I feel your pain. I had a similar issue with Soundcore q45 Bluetooth headphones on a win11 PC but they would work on other win11 PCs and also phones with no issues. Tried Sony xm4 and they worked where the Soundcore wouldn't. Thinking I'm going to have to reload windows or prune out the Soundcore registry hives at least. Good luck!
