    wow!

Nice! You're looking at PS5 / Series X performance at a slightly cheaper price

    • +15

The PS5/Series X will beat this, especially in 4K gaming.
Probably more like Series S performance

    • +20

To be fair, console games are usually much better optimised for so while hardware performance might be similiar, actual performance will favor the consoles.

With that said, cant do nothing on consoles except gaming, maybe watch a movie or two but you can do a million things with a desktop, plus cheaper game options avalible.

    • But not PS5 / Series X level optimisation by developers unfortunately so unless you just prefer the pc format or need something to game + do productive tasks on then the current gen consoles are probably still the better experience for launch titles.

      • Maybe so.

Consider console often requires subscription for online services. In addition to prospective future process increases for the same.

      • Steam has much cheaper games

  • +4

Fantastic value. RTX 2060 is a solid option for 1080p gaming.
Great to see some decent options for those on a budget

Anyone Else Enjoying the Battle of BPC vs TechFast
If only Nvidia and AMD was this willing to Fight

I'm Imagining a Constant F5 on OzBargins between them

    • +5

Nvidia has shifted its primary focus to AI workloads, while AMD is *avoiding that area on the consumer end and focusing on gaming while still losing to Nvidia on the top… although they offer a better $:frame.
I think Intel will capitalise on the low to mid… offers the best $:frame
      AMD mid to lower high
      Nv high end.

My mum got a new job so I was gonna build something for her, but this just saves the trouble haha

    • Job as a gamer?

  • +2

@bpc is there a possibility to just collect the parts still in boxes rather than a built system?

    • -1

      Why?

      • +1

Presumably they want to keep some and sell/give away others.

      • +4

Because I need to split up the parts into two PC's for some upgrades

  • This or the siren 799 one from yesterday?

    • The 799 is obviously better, but nowhere near +33% better, this 599 is much better value.

  • +1

Mistakenly read this as RTX 3060 12gb… looking for something for possibly training Ai models and the 3060 12GB looks to be about the best budget option?

    • +1

In terms of ai performance I don't think the 3060 and 2060 are that far apart? So tbh 2060 12gb option is pretty good perf per dollar

    • +1

I use the 3060 12gb for daily AI model training and it's probably the best budget option around. The 12gb comes in clutch for a lot of things where 8 and 10 just don't cut it.

Though I know previous gens (1xxx at least) lack the correct types of AI cores to do things efficiently. Not sure about 2xxxx, but it's worth looking into it pretty well before pulling the trigger.

  • No WINDOWS, even though pic shows Win11.
    Need to add $159

    • +5

Usually comes with inactivated windows installed

    • +5

Windows is installed, but not activated (need to buy a licence key), just like every single other BPC and Techfast deal that gets posted here.

      • -8

Thanks @aja12 , from someone who hasn't previously seen "every single other BPC and Techfast deal that gets posted here."
        Never assume.

Thanks @aja12 , from someone who hasn't previously seen "every single other BPC and Techfast deal that gets posted here."
          Never assume.

You felt the need to comment on something that is standard with the vast majority of desktop PC deals, as if it was misleading on BPC’s part. It’s not misleading.

I would hope that anyone that drops money a brand new PC has done some basic level of research beforehand?

          • -1

@aja12: Not that I give a rats about what you think, I DID go to the site and it clearly showed that WINDOWS was ADDITIONAL.
No reference to what the Rep has since advised, so now I am better informed.

            • +4

@dusty4: All good man, sorry if I upset you, I was being a bit of smart arse.

    • +6

      Hi dusty4,

We provide free Pre-installation for Windows 10 and 11.

Please specify the version you want after you place the order.

      Cheers,
      BPC Team

      • Thanks Rep. Good to know.

    • +1

Windows doesn't need to be activated to work anymore and you can use any old Win7/Win8 key.

      • -6

Full windows security when activated. Everyone knows this. Google is your friend

    • +2

You can purchase a key for several bucks. eBay is your friend.

    • Given how shot windows has become, use it for free is the bottom line

  • Nice price

  • +5

Finally, some reasonable low ends are back. It took us already almost 4 years to see a 600 bucks pc with an igpu again. The market has really suffered even before covid, since the rx 570 and rx580 been out of production

  • +3

nicely priced, $70 shipping to WA puts a nail in it for me personally though

The 2060 12gb is between the OG 2060 and 2060super performance wise - the buffer is largely irrelevant now but future games are using more and more v-ram and would eventually outpace 6gb

    • Vr loves it

    • $83 for me in WA

  • +1

Is the 2060 brand new? How do they have stock if it’s disconcintuned?

    • It the 12GB version that Nvidia released last year.

  • +7

Honestly don't know how you guys are doing this price, especially when you are selling the GPU alone for $450 (not that that is a good price, mind you). Incredible bang for buck as configured. I can't even get mad at the use of an mATX mobo in an ATX case at this price

    • The one you linked has a notably better GPU and a marginally worse CPU, so I'd go with that one.

      • +4

The techfast deal actually has an 8gb 3060 which is ~15% worse than the 12gb model (still better than the 2060 but not as much better as the "real" 3060): https://www.techspot.com/review/2581-nvidia-rtx-3060-8gb/

this model also has better CPU as you note, a much better case and PSU, and personally i'd deal with BPC long before techfast. I'd probably go for this one over that, if you had not a penny more than $599 to spend

        • -1

          Hmm interesting
          https://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-RTX-3060-Ti-vs-…

You see 12GB vs 8GB, and it's easy to think the 12GB version is the better one, though it's actually the previous model

          • +2

@spackbace: Nvidia up to their usual tricks unfortunately. 3060 8gb should have never been made (or should've been called the 3050Ti).

          • +2

            @spackbace: You're comparing the 3060 Ti not the 3060 8GB.
Also userbenchmarks is a joke. Really unreliable and obviously biased (they call AMD "Advanced Marketing Devices")

        • +1

Comparing the GPUs to AMD performance, the 3060 8GB is similar enough performance to the 6600 that you might value it at $300 (AMD ATL) , and the 2060 12GB a bit worse than the 6600, so maybe $250. edit: I did check TechPowerUp reviews and the 2060 12GB actually also has about the same performance as a 6600 (7% worse at 1080p, 5% better at 4K).

That would price (at most) the base Techfast PC at $300 (nuts) and the base BPC PC at $350 $300 (also nuts).

The most critical part of both machines that are substandard is the PSU, esp. on the Techfast (ask yourself what kind of 550W PSU is $59!! below the price of a cheap 650W bronze).

I think I would go with the Techfast one but sell off the included PSU and buy a decent PSU myself, partially funded by the savings of $50. I have done a 180 and decided this BPC one is better now haha, though anyone considering a purchase should still swap out the PSU.

  • seriously thinking about pulling the trigger on this one

    • +1

I would personally get this one.

      • +4

Not sure why someone would downvote for your personal opinion

  • Wow would love a low Büdget PC so I can play halo the original game, does anyone still play halo and the original online multiplayer map? Lol

Anyhow silly question and I might be asking coz I’m getting old but I have my old pCs and the HDD I believe are IDE whereas nowadays everything is done via SATa so could I get an adaptor or something to allow me to connect my hold HDD into this PC?

  • I think this one will sellout quickly, per dollar it's the PC we've seen on here so far. The RTX2060-12GB is fairly good value 1080p and may be better than the 3060-8GB.

    • I agree. I pulled the trigger. Did some research and the 5-10% performance loss (ish) from the 3060 8gb is worth it for my use case. Plus I am fairly regional and could easily sell this for $800+ in a few months if I wanted to (most gaming computers in my area with even 1660s on marketplace get listed for $2k or so and usually end up selling for $1500, pretty ridiculous).

  • OP, I’ve placed an order (thanks for the great deal). Is it possible to request the GPU is shipped separately?

    • +2

      Hi aja12,

Yeah sure, please PM us your order number and we will recalculate the shipping cost separately.

      Cheers,
      BPC Team

      • Actually OP, I would also like to know for future reference - most of these products are boxed (except for tray CPU). Is it possible to request for all the components to be shipped uninstalled (with box if possible)?

I assume that this should void your in-store warranty/support, though manufacturer warranty should still apply.

        • +2

          Hi tekisei,

Yeah, we can surely do that.

However, the shipping cost needs to be recalculated based on the size of all the boxes combined together.

          Especially the PC case.

          Cheers,
          BPC Team

  • RTX2060-12GB is soldout, but you can still get $639 RTX3060-8GB upgrade.

    • Worth the difference?

      • They are comparable, the price is still good.

      • It's about a 5-10% performance uplift for an extra $40 / ~7% price increase. If I saw it when I placed my order, I would have done it. Unfortunately, probably too late for me now.

        • +1

Your not losing out on the +50% VRAM, greater longevity, we've already seen games that have bottlenecked themselves on 8GB.

          • @Jimbuscus: Yeah you're not wrong there. I'm not too fussed really, both have their pros and cons and I'll upgrade it later on anyway probably

    • I'd buy it if i could get it without the GPU completely

  • The stock SSD or the 500GB NVMe? Looking for reliability over speed for the basic games (ancient Steam and GOG) and apps (Zwift) I'm playing and using.

  • I saw this for full price last night. Bummed I missed out on it being on sale.

    • You can still get it with a 3060-8GB in the upgrade options, for +$40.

      • Different URL. This one with a few mistakes.

        • I noticed to be able to add to cart you have to select the GPU option (RTX 3060 8GB) which brings it up to $679.

          • @MezzaCK: Better off with techfast 3060ti at that price.

          • @MezzaCK: They changed it, before you could mod the 2060-12GB listing for +40, now it's +80.

            • @Jimbuscus: That should be a bug. I have informed our tech guy to fix the listing

  • what models are the argb fans?

  • Hi guys. If I buy one of these gaming PCs, how do I get authentic Windows 10/11 for cheap? Or if I can find my old original Windows 7 setup disc, can I install Win 7 then upgrade to Win 10/11 for free? Thanks guys

    • you can run a script which will permanently activate your Windows,

      • How? I have no idea. What kind of Windows, trial version? Thanks

  • NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

    missed outtttt

  • Has the track order function stopped working for anyone else? It worked for me for the first two days after ordering, but since then I get nothing when I entering my order ID and billing email address.

    When will these be shipped?

    • -1

      Hi OzBerghainer,

Currently, we are fulfilling PC orders from 20th Feb.

Due to extreme demand, orders will usually be shipped out in 9-13 working days after the confirmation of the payment.

      Regards,

      BPC Team

Any updates on the boxes sold in this deal?

      • +1

        I bought mine on the 22nd. I got a reply via email today;

        Hi mojadu,
Current lead time for system build is extended to 14 business days due to the amount of the order we received recently.
Your order is still on the queue and it will most likely to be finished next Friday and shipping will be arranged after.
Email will be sent to you once your order is updated as before.

        Regards,

        Sales rep, removed name
        BPC Technology Sales Team

  • Anyone received this yet?

    • +1

lol nope. I finally asked for them to ship parts individually since it might be a few days faster and they said they'd do it asap but no tracking info yet

      • Never mind they wanted an extra $57 to ship individually so I said nah you guys build it and send it to me. Can't wait to receive it over a month after ordering lmao
