Just FYI, this game is included for free on iOS and Android if you have netflix sub

  • Excellent, sometimes depressing, tactical strategy game about cutting losses and finding the least fatal choices. From the creator of FTL.

I personally preferred FTL and couldn't really get in to Into the Breach. Perhaps I was too dumb/drunk the first couple of times I tried to play it

      • I'm in the same boat, loved FTL, didn't appreciate into the breach.

        • +1

FTL is fun, whereas Into The Breach is about having no good choices. I enjoy FTL a lot more but ITB is a well-balanced, unforgiving tactics game.

    $29 seems a bit rich.

The biggest tip I can give you for this game, is you're supposed to stand on the emergence sites, and not doing so in an attempt to preserve health will almost always lead to a loss. Also, unlike FTL where having your crew die is somewhat run-ending, crew/mech death is an expected part of the run.

I didn't 'get' this game initially and hated it, but once you understand that it's about losing as slowly as possible, it really shines.

    • But don't stand on them too much or you'll get a massive swarm on the last turn that you won't be able to deal with, you have to strategically let them emerge slowly and take care of them

And push as many of the non flying bastards off the map as possible.

Same goes for the non swimming pricks and water.

One big ad for swimming lessons.
