Free Beauty Bag (~$200 RRP) with $60 Skincare/Hair Care/Cosmetic Purchase (In-Store), ½ Price Neutrogena @ Chemist Warehouse

220

Yearly beauty bag offer on again, thanks to moocher & achromatic for the formatting from last years deals.

Spend $60 in-store in one transaction on facial skincare, therapeutic skincare, haircare and cosmetics (excluding hair loss, anti-dandruff and head lice products), and receive a free beauty bag valued at a overinflated RRP of $200, realistically it's a lot closer to $100 but a good deal if you're looking to buy some cosmetics anyway. Neutrogena, Garnier, Olay & Nivea Skincare are also 50% off at the moment, so great to combine with this offer.

Went with mrs to melbourne CBD store and still had plenty in stock for now, our bag had the following:

  • Avene A-Oxitive serum 15ml
  • La Roche-Posay pure niacinamide serum 10ml
  • Sukin body lotion 50ml
  • Aveeno daily moisturizing lotion 30g
  • Dr. Lewins collagen surge plumping gel 30g
  • Swisse micellar makeup removing cleansing water 300ml
  • Clairol root touch up

Thank you! Couldn't fit it into the title should've popped that in the description

  • Any idea if sun screens count? (or at least face sunscreen)

    • +1

      I don't think so

      • Thanks @moocher!

Got the bag yesterday and I had bought 2 Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Face Sunscreen products which counted towards the $60 spend.

      • Nice, I also got mine yesterday! But my la Roche posay sunscreens didn't count to it (I think my Bondi Sands one did). Made the rest up with Cerave and other stuff :)

Please recommend me something that has acetyl-hexapeptide-8. Serious question.

    Thank you in advance.

    • The Ordinary makes a 10% Argireline (another name for Acetyl Hexapeptide-8) product. You can get it from Priceline. That's probably the best concentration you can get in a product.

        Nice. Thank you!

          Hope it's what you're after.

Note the product and application details:

Argireline Solution 10% offers an advanced formula targeting dynamic forehead, “eleven eye”, and smile lines in an effective, “non-injective” way. By incorporating a high concentration of Argireline™ , this lightweight serum improves the appearance of facial areas prone to deep-set lines, resulting in smoother, more relaxed skin.

Apply a few drops to the forehead and around the eyes in the morning and evening.

It's not meant for the entire face

          • @moocher: Yes. I think I would need to use Matrixyl (https://www.myer.com.au/p/the-ordinary-matrixyl-10-ha-505871…) for the face AM/PM, and 10% Argireline for the around eyes also AM/PM before applying SPF based moisturiser, which leads to the next question. Any good SPF moisturiser recommendation?

            • @burningrage: Actually, I should be asking what your skin type is first. The Hamilton alone may not be enough if you have dry skin.

              • @moocher: Used to be oily but now mostly dry (Roacutane). Tbh, LaRoche Antelios XL is the only one that works best for me BUT it's not an effective moisturizer. Most of my moisturizers have hyaluronic acids and stuff.

                • @burningrage: Re sunscreen - this Dermaveen face sunscreen worked well on my friend with dry, sensitive skin and it has the newer sunscreen filters. It's sometimes half price.

Tried it myself, definitely more moisturising than the LRP but leaves me quite shiny due to my skin type.

                  • @moocher: Ah this looks good. Got the Hyaluronic acids and stuff. Always thought Dermaveen being better as body wash (Oat stuff) but never thought of it as SPF face lotion. Will look into it. Thank you.

@burningrage: @burningrage - just noticed this reddit thread about the Dermaveen face sunscreen and Cancer Council Face Daywear Serum Hydrating having almost identical formulas - Dermaveen just has the extra colloidal oatmeal. They are around the same price so both are good options when half price.

                      • @moocher: This is great resource! Thanks. I have never seen that Cancer Council bottle before. I am heading to Chemist Warehouse today anyway so this really helps. Really appreciate your advice on skincare!

            • @burningrage:

Yes. I think I would need to use Matrixyl (https://www.myer.com.au/p/the-ordinary-matrixyl-10-ha-505871…) for the face AM/PM, and 10% Argireline for the around eyes also AM/PM before applying SPF based moisturiser

The Ordinary's Buffet actually combines multiple peptides including matrixyl and argireline, but in lower concentrations presumably. Depends on whether you are specifically wanting high % of argireline and matrixyl I guess.

wish this was online as well.

  • shitt, spent $150 on these category products last week friday

  • Thank you , found it in my closest store this time. Last year travelled to near Newcastle to get it as everyone else sold out.
Purchased half care skin creams to get to the $60. Christmas presents mostly sorted for my girls now.
Just need to get the liptember bag too when that comes out.

  • Do hairbrushes also count as haircare
