  Whoa ok TN in 2023. Have a TN laptop bought in 2014, are there any major advances in TN panel technology which won't make me regret buying it every single day?

  Edit: saw some vids on youtube. Matte screen and a bit dim. Guy had the laptop next to the window and the sunlight washed the screen out. Was considering this but decided not to, however for $309 though probably very worth for the specs alone

      The CPU is not the limiting factor for games either. 8GB is fine for Windows and upgradable.
      The legitimate criticisms are the display, and plastic construction.

      Anyone wanting a cheap laptop for school is probably better off getting a "refurb" business model, which will be more likely to survive. But if just keeping at home, that's not a problem.
