Nutiva Organic MCT Oil 946ml $53.42 + Shipping ($0 with $80 Order) @ iHerb

42

Very high C8 — 9g out of of 15ml, so you get 567.6g of C8 in a bottle. It’s on 25% discount at the moment, I think the cost justifies the product, if you don’t care for C10 much (and other filters).

Edit: per https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/14359879/redir the one from woolies has the same content and is on sale at $8 for 250ml.

Is this good for frying? Thanks.

    • Hmmm never thought of using MCT oil in cooking. It’s from coconut so I imagine similar heat-tolerance? Coconut oil is a lot cheaper for that purpose tho.

I use it as a beard oil.

Why not buy This MCT oil from Woolworths 250ml for $8 ?

That’s pretty much the same profile, very good find, thanks. I don’t usually look in the supermarkets when it comes to supplements.

      • Where do you see the breakdown of C8 vs C10 in this one?

For one of their more expensive versions (https://www.amazon.com.au/COCO-EARTH-Juggernaut-MCT-Unflavor…) they specify it on the bottle but can’t find the details on the above one

        • It’s in the product photos, not very high res but if you zoom in, you can see it’s 9g and 5g for C8 and C10 (per 15ml).

Yeah woolies might be way better as it’s smaller bottles and you can get it right away.

    • Do you also happen to know a good place for electrolytes? The best I have found is bulk nutrients’ 250g for $25 without any carbs, but I don’t want to buy just one item and pay for the shipping.

    • Oh that looks awesome! Do they go on sale? What’s a good price?

    • Ok found this place https://www.optimoz.com.au/products/bulletproof-upgraded-bra… stocking the original Bulletproof C8 946ml for $74, 3x946ml for $197.80 (free shipping over $100).

      • I've tried both. If you feel sick after taking either one of these try the other one.

I found that the bulletproof one used to give me stomach pain (but other people in my household were OK with it but not good with the cocoearth one).

Coles has 500ml of the stuff for $11, but different profile. 7.3g C8. https://pasteboard.co/5qlRk8xAyyoi.jpg

    • That's the one I use and it's excellent. The coconut flavour is almost undetectable.

      • I don’t mind the coconut taste. Grabbed one just now to fill my $50 spending target for the week :) Guess I can get a few before Wednesday to fill next week’s quota too 🙏

    Suck some Nitro, Max

  • These both only have about 60% C8, you'd want to be getting at least 80% C8 (caprylic acid) from your MCT oil and if it doesn't state on the label how much C8 is in it don't buy it.
Personally I like using This has 80% C8 with curcumin which makes the oil golden and tastes good too just very expensive.

    • Thank you, I’ve found this place selling the Coco Earth’ pure C8 for $29.53 plus shipping. It’s interesting to mix curcumin in it, I didn’t know it’s fat-soluble. Guess there’s liposomal vit C, everything is fa-soluable. I have found turmeric with black pepper to be the most effective, as far as turmeric goes. Don’t like premixed things because I can’t control the doses.
