Moved to Forum: Original Link

Seems like a good deal. Only available in white for that price. I think it's an EOL product with this price.

Mod: As this is a price error, per previous precedence, this has been moved to the forums

  • very good price for a decent phone

    • bugger, got a bit excited and missed the code :-\

    • OP pls add this code to the post

  • +2

Wow, this is a great price… here's to hoping it's available tomorrow morning, though it seems unlikely

  • What a great deal..
I just bought a HTC One X Brand New Aus Stock $455 shipped.
Makes me think maybe I should of bought this phone and saved a lot of money, but nah, I love my One X.

Great deal though.. cheapest I've seen aside from this is only $349.

    • Hi, interested to know where I might be able to find the HTC One X OZ stock at $455? Please enlighten me. Thanks.

  • I just bought the third nexus for my family :D

    • Heh! I've just bought a 4th…

      • +1

Bought my 1st! Anyone know when it will arrive approximately? Never bought anything from unique mobiles before.

        • Never bought from them either, hope they will be fine :)

        • My phone arrived in 2 days to Perth, as a grey import from HK

Anyone know how long postage takes from these guys im SO DAMN TEMPTED next week is midsemester break itll be a nice toy!

    • 2 business days - that is what is the common consensus on their website and it's what i personally experienced with my GS3

    • from me, got excited thinking will will be perfect to replace my older X5 (U8800 piece of ****) .. Checked features and no sd slot which is a bargain killer for me… :(

Guess I'll just have to get the S3 instead sigh

  • +1

    Awesome price!
OP, what's an EOL product? End of lifecycle?

    • +1

Yup, end of life. There are rumours about several new Nexus phones around, and Samsung probably want to concentrate on the Note 2 / S3

      Great deal though

    • +8

      Find a s2 for $350 then talk

    • +2

To be honest, I would always choose Nexus over the S3. I found TouchWiz really buggy and has slow transition. Plus you wont need quad core processor to run apps :)

      • Install a different launcher if TouchWIz is slow. And I'm bargaining on future-proofing myself. Upgrading from a Desire HD after 2 years was a breath of relief. Though with the price disparity I'd say that this deal is better value for money than the S3 (even with the Kogan deal, which I got, I don't think the added features of the S3 are worth $200)

    • +3

      Cool story bro.

    • +2

You can't even get an S2 at $350?
How long has S2 been on the market?
Dreaming for S3 to be $350 in just a few months?

      • -6

possible since the rumor of S4 and the crazy release of new 4g phones watch this space and you will see in a few months.

        • Doesn't that works both ways? The S4's arrival will bring the price of the Galaxy Nexus down as well. While you can speculate whether the S2/3 would fall to sub 350-ish range, the Galaxy Nexus is here, now, for $278.

  • I just bought one too. No idea what I will be expecting in terms of shipping time and reliability. Never made a purchase of $100+ electronics before, kind of nervous! If anyone can shed some light on their previous experience with this seller, it'll be much appreciated.

    • +1

bought 2-3 items from them before, no issues.

      • Cheers!!

        • +1

          the express was 6 days - 1 week b4 to WA…….(including weekend)

  • Best phone ever!

  • what has this got feature wise compared to S3? Compare the S3 to Nexus and the price difference between this http://www.shoppingsquare.com.au/product.php?id=400892 and nexus. also the difference in time frame of release and whether this phone will get the supposed "key lime pie" since new nexus phones are going to be released.

    • JB update is still quite recent. And since the next Nexus is rumored to be made by Sony, LG and Samsung, it seems it might be awhile before next release + new OS. That's why I couldn't stand it any longer, it's a great deal =)

      • worth buying for a couple of months and possibly reselling as second hand?

        • -1

you reckon he should wait for S4 to release?
          maybe S5?
          maybe wait for S6? or S7? S8?

      • likely motorola? since google acquired motorola phone division……

    • +4

Once you add Shopping Square's ripoff shipping it's $524 as opposed to $272, pretty massive difference. I would almost guarantee this will get timely updates for several years yet, judging from the earlier Nexi.

I'd love a mem card slot, better camera and CPU, but I'd also prefer $250 in my pocket

      • +1

        Haha Nexi I like that.

  • +2

    I pulled the trigger.
Now what am I supposed to do with the 64GB micro SD I bought last week?

    • use it with normal SD adapter on camera?

    • Now you need a nice android tablet to put it in

    apparently battery life is horrible?
    should I still buy?

    • expect to charge it daily.

    • I'd say it's below average, it's not the best for heavy users. There are situations where I actually do need a spare battery.

    • I've been using the Galaxy Nexus since the start of the year, and yes, the battery life is atrocious. GSM Arena claims the battery life while web browsing is three hours, which is already pretty poor — however, that's under optimal conditions, using wi-fi rather than 3G, and with brightness down reasonably low. Under real world conditions, I usually get little over two hours of screen-on-time before I get the low battery notification (which usually occurs at about 15%).

    • We just buy a few extra batteries off Ebay and keep a some at work and at home. Takes a minute to switch and BOOM full charge.

    • On eBay you can even get those 3000+mAh batteries with funny looking battery cover that would hopefully keep your Galaxy Nexus up twice as long.

      • +2

You'd be better off getting ones direct from Mugen Power Batteries (http://www.mugen-power-batteries.com/), rather than trusting an Ebay dealer. I've had bad experiences with Ebay bought extended batteries; with their capacities being identical or even less than the stock battery provided.

  • same for the S3?
how long would wifi surfing last on this?

    • S3 is better but you're still gonna charge it daily.

    • Three hours at best.

  • also how about wifi surfing and 3g browsing on this how many hours can you get?

  • +4

If I hadn't got the kogan S3 $478 deal I'd have probably caved for this. If for nothing else other than to bid my time until the next round of superphones in the coming months. You can't really expect these to get much cheaper, they will just eventually sell out. $250 seems to be about the bottom of the decent phone/tablet EOL market.

    • +1

Yes, if I didn't get an S3 I probably would have got this.

      • wanna sell your s3's?

    • S3 4g release should drop the old 3g model prices surely?

  • I think it might be price error. It should be $359,poor uniquemobiles.

    • i've bought it already.
now i think very likely you are right.

    • Nah I doubt it. SGN has really dropped in sales, especially given the success of the S2 and the new S3, and the white SGN in particular is not as popular as the black.

  • one user on gsm arena said:
    It's a kinda good phone.
It's got sufficient power for almost every task but its specs are not extremely good.

There are some things that, in my opinion, destroy the whole experience:

    • The screen is just an absolute nightmare! The black navbar on the bottom starts burning in after some months of usage and looking at a white page is like having a look at at wall paper (not background-image, I mean the real ones. The screen got an extreme pattern, mostly if the screen is set to a dark setting)
    • The whole phone feels a bit cheap. It's really made completely out of plastic.
    • The camera is medium. It's not that bad but it's not good either.
    • Battery life could be better too. I got to recharge it in the morning and at noon again to get through the day. Kinda annoying but I found this issue with many phones.

Just Started looking for one today, couldn't believe my luck in seeing this for about $75 cheaper than kogan. Great bargain. Thanks

  • +1

    Ordered thanks.

  • +1

    good price for that phone

  • +1

Just bought one !!!!!Hope should be ok.

  • How long will this last :(. Can't buy it right now, hope I can get it in a few days.

  • +1

    SIZZLING DEAL!

  • Any idea which version is it?
    international?
does it come with google wallet?

    • Pretty certain that this is an "international" model. The give away is the 1700MHz 3G band which the Australian Nexus model doesn't have.

Of course, the website specs could be wrong - but that would never happen would it…

      • huh? the australian model IS the international GSM model. the other models are USA carrier specific versions.

  • +1

    Good deal, Ordered placed.

  • been waiting for something like this because i definitely need a upgrade from my htc desire, that internal storage is crazy limited, something like 500mbish. Thank you Uniquemobiles!

  • Just ordered. Phone = $259, Shipping with insurance = $21.55, Discount = -$5;
    Total = $275.55

  • what's included in the silver or gold warranty upgrade? Just a money making exercise?

    • Yep, and Unique Mobiles are walking on thin ice with regards to ACL Consumer Guarantees.

From their website: "We sell on behalf of the Manufacturer. Liability for each product rests with the Manufacturer."

Actually Unique Mobiles, you're equally responsible for the liability as well, considering you're a business operating in Australia. No mention of the mandatory "Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law" disclaimer on your warranty info page.

    • You can find all the information about warranty conditions on their website:
      http://www.uniquemobiles.com.au/warranty

I believe that the silver and gold upgrades only apply to their own warranties on imported items.

  • sweeeeet, just got one to replace the missus' htc legend :-)
was considering the htc one v from kogan but with this only being around 40 bucks more it wasn't hard to pull the trigger on the nexus :-)

    quick comparison:
    http://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=4219&idPhone2=…

  • $18.80 for Express Shipping.
    Optional Extra $2.75 for Insurance.

Beats a scratched up S2 for similar money in my book.

  • That's a don't argue price!!

  • Just bought. $272.80 SHIPPED for a BRAND NEW galaxy nexus i9250. Pretty sweet deal. Was it a price error??

  • So tempting!

  • Price back up to $359.00. Must have been a pricing error

    • damn does this mean those who bought before the price change wont get their phones?

  • is GONE…

  • Just went to buy 2. Price up to $359 now :(

  • Dammit! It went up to $359 while I was looking at it!

  • Will be interesting to see if they honour the lower price now that the web site price has increased!

    From the website T&C's:

You acknowledge and accept that the website content may include technical inaccuracies and typographical errors.

    Feedback from OzBargaineers who purchased?

  • For those who did get it, what was the actual selling price, prior to shipping?

  • I am assuming they would honor the price. They wouldn't have sold that many.

  • Just an hour too late.

  • They gone down fast. Good deal.
