Kappi 1L Stainless Steel Water Bottle - $7.49 (Was $39.95) + $12 Delivery @ Kappi

480

Long time lurker, first time poster!

I was looking for a 1 litre stainless steel drink bottle, and came across this drink bottle from Kappi in a closing down sale.

I've bought a few, but haven't used these before. It looks like a really well reviewed drink bottle at a great price!

EDIT: Looks like $12 flat rate shipping across Australia, regardless of quantity. I bought 4, so wasn't too phased with it, but for one bottle it makes it steeper.

    • Pretty sure Kim Kardashian has plenty of drink bottles already.

With the jugs she possesses, she won't be needing any drink bottles.

So it's really 7.49 PLUS $12 postage - (covers at least 4 items judging on comment?) which kills it for me also

Tough business model when you only sell 4 very random products.

      me: i need tires
      michelin: here you go
me: now if only someone could rate my restaurant
michelin: you're not gonna believe this

Haha! It made sense during 1926, was actually a pretty smart idea to get people to use and wear out tyres faster.

    • If you click on the Menu at top right, can see different products listed under 'Shop'. So, probably they delisted more products or soldout.

  • Reckon it fits ice blocks?

    • +1

They will fit if they are made small enough to go through the opening.
Just make sure you don't make them bigger and you'll be fine

My friend, you need something like the SodaStream Ice Cube Tray Sticks thing I’ve got. There’s likely a cheaper knock-off but ice cubes shaped like sticks is where it’s at!

    • Question is, will they fit drink holders?

      • Exactly my thoughts. 8cm diameter so I'm guessing so.

  • Thanks OP, how long does it take to receive 10% discount code after signing up to newsletters?

  • Good products. It's a shame they're closing down.

  • Stainless steel water bottles so hot right now!

    • with summer the insulation is the appeal of stainless insulated bottles. i had a glass insulated but it broke. we have chilled water tap at work so it’s great to have cool drink on the train ride home.

With a spout/lid that small, how are you going to effectively wash/clean inside of the bottle?

I see some people at work re-use disposable drink bottle, disgusting as I'm sure they never wash it.

Most of the stainless steel ones like Oasis have much larger opening/lids so you can clean it thoroughly. We chuck ours in the dishwasher.

    • quick rinse with water and detergent and a shake seems to work for me for cleaning drink bottles, i only use water for drinking. if you want more thorough put some rice in with the detergent and water and shakes, the rice scrubs it, it’s what people do if they have bottles with scale build up.

      • Won’t kill you but you’d definitely want to scrub the inner wall otherwise you’ll get bacterial build up just shaking the bottle with detergent.

Use a dishwasher or scrub with a brush.

  • I just received mine. Really pleased - great quality, which makes me a little disappointed the company is closing down.

    • It's alright, the fit and finish is pretty good minus the lid design: it's small and smooth so it's slippery and not nice to use. It also has a sharp edge which I can see being annoying if you're already applying more force to unscrew due to the slippery design. The plug portion of the cap that's facing the interior is plastic whereas 3 other insulated bottles I have use a metal piece along with the silicon gasket which I feel better about.
