Virgin is offering 10k velocity points + 15% off the first year's premium on new comprehensive car insurance policies.
NB - a Melbourne to Sydney flight in economy on a regular work day usually costs 13k velocity points.
Or redeem 10k velocity points for a $50 gift card.

Edit for clarity: you need to hold the policy for 6 months to be eligible for the 10k bonus velocity points

  You should include the important info:

  the policy holder will be entitled to 5,000 Velocity Points if the insurance is held for at least 65 days (credited to the eligible Velocity Account up to 90 days after the policy has been purchased); the policy holder will be entitled to the remaining 5,000 Bonus Velocity Points if the policy is still active 6 months after purchase (credited to the eligible Velocity Account up to 10 months after the policy was purchased).

    Just did a quote, paid $273 last year in vic for 3rd party, virgin quoted $342 vs $326 at budget direct so worth switching at renewal in a couple of months
