Are There Still Any Mobile Plan with Data-Free Streaming

I've been away from Australia for two years and will be returning at the end of this year.
I remember when I left in early 2021 there were plans available with unmetered data streaming for Apple Music or other streaming services. But I just checked, both Boost and Telstra don't seem to offer such plans anymore.

Wondering if there are still plans that offer unmetered data streaming? Like Video, music, whatever.

    Felix.
    Don't forget the reference code.

    • They recently upped the unlimited to $40 and the discount isn't as good. I'm glad I got in in time.

  • Optus used to in 2016/2017 but then changed their plans around and no longer offer it as far as I know.

They now charge you $5/day for 24 hours of unlimited data.

Recently switched to Vodafone on a 150GB plan and data usage is no longer a worry.

  • Look at what your data usage is going to be and whether you need "data free" for streaming. You could get like a 200GB plan and be more than sufficient if you are streaming a couple of GB a day even for your other usage.

I have 240GB for 3 devices and barely use much. I used 50% last month because my wife was in hospital and streaming TV etc over a 2 week period, but even then it was only 50% of 240GB.

  • 4k streams at ~7gb p/h so keep that in mind when calculating your total monthly cost, in the absence of free streaming data packages

  • You sure Apple Music isn't unmetered on Telstra? I thought they even did lossless unmetered now.
