  Are these any good fitted to a car as a crash cam? I any benefits over the blackvue 2nd edition?

    I'd say no benefits over the Blackvue as a car crash cam.
    One is an action camera, the other is a dedicated car crash cam with GPS, loop recording and G-Sensor to protect the files that possibly have incidents.

    If you're looking for a car crash cam, the Blackvue is similarly priced to this GoPro and is the path you should be going down.

  So, how come an HP N40L can ship for under Au$10…

  …but a much smaller, lighter Go Pro HD camera kit
  costs close to Au$40

  The Go Pro HD's Shipping is (IMO) OVER-PRICED…!!!

  PS Perhaps the Au$ 0.44 coupon was intended to have Au$ 44.00 value?
  To me, for one, -that- would make this a deal…

  A positive for me, good price for a Hero2 HD. Just going to hold and wait till the Sony Action Cam gets released later this month, price wise going be similar but with better specifications.

    This is what has me waiting too. and possibly why the gopro prices are falling. But the only question is if the sony video quality is as good. the gopro has a 11mp sensor the sony…not sure. but the sony only takes 2mp stills. so im hoping its not a 2-3mp sensor. 1080p is 2.1mp

      The Sony cam is a 16mp Exmor R sensor with Carl Zesis 170deg lens.

        Thanks for clearing that up. Now you have me even more excited about the sony(although the image is still a bit soft. possibly pre-production firmware or image stabilization). and it come with WiFi too. AUD price is 299 for the WiFi or $399 for the kit that comes with the accessories
