    Gerry,
I tried what you said and went to my local homemaker centre for a vac I needed.

Went to Bing Lee - they said best was $420
Went to your store - best was $499.

Rather than telling us we are sacrificing Australian jobs, why don't you sacrifice some of your profit to get my money, and the jobs can still be safe.

Why can Bing Lee do it about 20% cheaper than you!!

    • I agree 1000% hardly normal is generally a rip off, the only times they have stuff worth buying is in these big sales.

    • Rather than telling us we are sacrificing Australian jobs

I doubt the vac was made in Australia anyway…

  • Don't waste your time guys, it's "up to" 40% off Asus Comps.

    • Heading is false then. Negged.

      • Was in a hurry, boss was standing behind me at work :P Fixed
And i did specifically say "check the link"

boss was standing behind me at work

          why wasn't he working?

        • And why was he wearing casual clothes and rocked up at lunch time? because hes been working here about 25 years longer then i have!

        • +1

he was working. his job is to make sure mr Fincky does his!

        • he was working. his job is to make sure mr Fincky does his!

obviously the boss wasn't doing his job then…

Would need about 3 bosses to make sure im working all the time :D
But i get my job done and some so its all good.

Not sure why I was negged. The original advertisement clearly stated 40% off Asus comps. I am in the market and wasted my time due to the inaccurate description. I "checked the link" because I was duped by the original title. I would have hoped the standard us tight-arses expect is a little higher than this.

          Thanks for the negs again.
They now cancel out and I am back to positive.

    40% off a price with 200% markup

    • "40% off a price with 200% markup"

Example please. I saw "up to 40% Off".

  • This is more of an informative post. There is no "deals" here but before you go negging away give people the chance to find the deals.

Without wanting to sound entitled, people should be posting deals, not catalogues, flyers or ads. A very low bar is set: OP can identify one actual deal from this sale, and I'll change my vote.

      • Without wanting to sound entitled, people should be posting deals,

        You got that right….
be sure to let us know when you post one….

        • Hey JBOT how many deals have you posted?

I can't get into Hardly Normal today as im at work, hopefully someone sees this and can find a deal though.

before you go negging away give people the chance to find the deals.

That's the job of the person posting the deal… Otherwise don't bother posting, leave it to someone else who can be bothered.

Yeah well jv i dont have as much time as you, my fulltime job isnt ozb unlike you ;)

  • I heard this advert on the radio earlier and though this could be interesting. My old laptop was stolen from my apartment a couple of weeks ago, was thinking of going for a Asus laptop, has anyone actually seen any of the Asus deals in store? Any decent offers?

    • before you go there, better check the price from other stores like cpl.net.au, msy.com.au, mln.com.au, centrecom.com.au, normally they have competitive price.

  • Just so people know. Legally, when up to X% is advertised. Y% has to be that full X% off and then a certain percentage expected to be at each % below that.

Eg. 10% of Asus stock has to be 40% off, 10% has to be 30% off etc. It will be different from store to store what is 40% off.

      a spoon?

      • no, a straw…

        • See there is a deal, these go for like $50

  • They should be doing deals like this one, instead of playing with words to trick people into thinking they're getting a good deal.
