  • Nice, price has fallen quite a bit. HP must be offering rebates again.

  • Have one running unRaid. Best home NAS IMHO.

    • heard Synology?

  • Already out of stock? Link goes nowhere.

    • Which is $299?

    Hi guys,

    Just to clarify:
That was a wrong listing on our end. It has been removed from our site to avoid confusion. The correct link and link that we have stock as follows:
    http://www.shoppingexpress.com.au/buy/hp-proliant-n40l-micro…

Would be good to mark this as expired.

    • I think you should still do that price for the people who saw it, otherwise your just a tease! :P

Plus you'd definately get a few sales this arvo :D

      • lol… At least 100 clicks - people saw since you commented? That's pretty challenging for us :P

        • +3

          See :D
          You know you want to!

LOL, negative votes for trying to get a good deal!
          (or is that your staff!)

        • +2

          lol

        • -6

What a bad attitude from a seller. Of cause you'd find it challenging as you don't have 100 (though I'm sure you'd find 100 to sell at $299 plus shipping).

        • +4

I don't know that the deal deserves a neg though. It was a good deal that BobTheDragon posted, and as soon as shopping express noticed the mistake on their site they removed it.

        • -1

Well apparently is never actually available at that price so never was a deal.

        • +1

Hence the 'expired' at the top of the page….

        • -1

I reported that as expired myself before it was marked that way.

        • I think it was … but as soon as shopping square saw this post they realised the mistake and removed it. I assume they're honouring anyone who purchased at that price? Nobody on here has actually said they got in quickly enough before they noticed the mistake and acted, which is fair.

        • -1

I just spoke to Michael at Shopping Express and he said "I don't care at the moment". He doesn't know who the representative that they have authorised to act on their behalf on this website or even what their rep is doing on this website.

    • mmm. tasty tasty bait.

  • +1

Why is this on the front page with only 11 upvotes?

    • Must be a new system. If a deal gets X amount of votes within a short mount of time, then it will be promoted to a new page?

Might need a Mod or Scotty to clarify though.

      • -3

        hehe. nice one.

        • +1

          Pathetic more like it.

You had a product for sale on your website which you've removed but you're happy to see a wrong product (price) moved to the front page of Ozbargain so it gets views from other people (and so shows as a positive "deal" for your site).

You are a shonky retailer (even if you never made the initial posting your happy for the positive exposure, well to me its negative and I'll remember your reaction this "deal").

        • +5

I personally think overreaction to a mistake is 'pathetic'. Some people really need to lighten up a bit.

        • hmm?? not able to comment a new feature added or planned by ozbargain mod? I suggested to get this deal marked as expired, and clarify on this post by commenting that the listing was wrong. If i wanted to do what you said - i would have waited longer and got more votes. I don't look at ozbargain every 60 seconds?

        • +4

I'll remember never to go to Sydney

        • +3

I think it's time to take to the streets and burn down a KFC or something.

  • Its different to one posted, as the $299 one has a 250 HDD but the cheaper one that is now expired didnt have one.

  • aw man, the one they had up before I think was the model above?…probably a mistake then>?…

  • +3

Too many wrong listing today :(

  • its vanished…

  • I'm confused. I know it says expired now, but were they ever on sale for $234.15?

    • They were on the site for that price but it was a mistake … apparently.

      • +4

Yeah, that's the impression I got by reading the comments. So why has the deal been marked expired, and not corrected?

Ohhh, Shopping Express didn't put this post up, someone came across a mistake on their website and posted the deal. Now I get it :)

        • +1

thanks for explaining - i do appreciate the growing support in ozbargain community and having confidence in our integrity.

  • bugger…

  • no deal

  • Did anyone actually get one?

  • Moved to forums as it's an incorrect listing.

    • thanks mod.

  • +7

I think some people need to calm down befor ethey give themselves a coroney

Seriously, SE came on to advise that they stuffed up and apologised over it.
They didn't post the deal, the have no responsibility whatsoever to come on here and advise us liek they did

They are active on this site and do from time to time post up some really good deals.

So rather than get some good repoire going with the retailer, you are going to mark them as fraudulent, misleading, blah blah blah … you want to bear arms and burm them to the ground?

Seriously grow up … take a chill pill, its the weekend already

    Mod: Removed foul language

Thanks & big thumbs up to BobTheDragon for trying to offer ozbargain a great N40L deal which unfortunately was a listing mistake and not an actual deal. Sorry to see that due to our listing error, your kind intention was not turning out to what was supposed to be.

    • offer $265 again for ozbargainers then ?

      • +5

I don't have many of them left - to do at that price, but today i am definitely in the mood to bring the evening up :). If everyone's happy i will do it for the weekend at $265?

          Thank you!

If you want to change it all around, our customers usually chose these as alternatives:
