  • Either something is wrong with my soundlink mini ii but this blows it out of the water.

    • I swear i have the same issue with my mini 2 as well. Sounds very muffled, tweeter is completely toned down.

Haven't heard this in person but I'm definitely tempted to pick this up now

      • This is exactly it! Sounds muffled…

    • not just you, the sl mini 2 is missing a lot of detail in the sound reproduction. it's audible even in a youtube comparison

Cheaper to buy via JB and use them 15% off gift card

    • +1

And you get more colours from JB :)

      • Including the Limited Edition Carmine Red model which is no longer available on Amazon.

Cheaper to buy via JB and use them 15% off gift card

Cheaper to buy via JB WITH 15% off gift card

      • I can't afford to buy JB. And I'm not sure shareholders would accept gift card payments.

        • -1

I don't suggest buying JB but just rewording your sentence

Cheaper to buy VIA JB …

    • Is that still going on? Can’t make it work

      • Nope.

    • Where to get 15% gift card?

  • I'm guessing JB will not price mach amazon?

    • +1

I did price match, but Jb already selling these now for $129 and you can add perks $10

      • Thanks OP! Got it for $115 at JB after price matching and using the $10 perk. A better deal is to use 15% off gift cards.

  • +1

I could no longer resist at that price

It's a mono channel speaker… not sure if "surround sound" is an accurate detail. Although you can get two of them to pair up for Stereo sound. Just received mine from Amazon, definitely beats my old JBL Flip 3.

I really need to filter out wireless speaker and ssd deals from this page. can't keep buying them… is there any way to do it?

    This or JBL Flip 6?

  • +1

Damnit just bought this 2 days ago for $129… already received, good speaker at least!

Jump on to their online chat and ask what they can do for you, they "added the AU$ 7.00 promo certificate" to my Amazon account.

      • +1

Yep, same issue - although I bought the Blue, which is still $129. Used online chat, mentioned this thread on Ozbargain - was told to chat back once I receive item and they'll apply the $7 credit

        • I tried that as well after I saw your comment. But they ask me to return the item and buy it again. They can't give me promo credit.

      • +3

Yep, I did that too - got the promo credit!

      • +1

Return the speakers and keep the promo credit? and repeat … profits

        • +1

Returning means you gotta pay for postage - bad idea. 🫠

      • What online chat? I’ve looked for ages…

        • The app.. I see.

  • no aux but can it play via usbc?

  • Is this a good speaker to use with gaming pc or mac for everyday use?

(Not sure if the mono speaker config is going to be issue for pc games or video playback)

So far been using a sound link mini gen 1 with both devices

  • +1

How does this compare to the anker soundcore motion+? Anyone had both or experienced both?

    • +1

You may get value from this amazing reddit list Ranking All Battery Powered Bluetooth Speakers.

I was after a decent medium/small-sized speaker that could read music from a MicroSD card - this list gave me exactly what I was looking for. 👍

      • @penno2
hi yes i need that microsd feature. which one did you get?

        • +1

Mifa Wildrod from the mifa store on aliexpress (unfortunately not available on Amazon). Very happy with it. Alan Ross review / comparison:
          https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=y4DYttybhJ8

          • @penno2: Oh no wonder couldnt find mifa on amazon … too bad i have lots amazon gift card…

Do you think this is a good buy?
Deal of the day for Prime Members: Anker Soundcore Mini, Super-Portable Bluetooth Speaker with 15-Hour Playtime, 66-Foot Bluetooth Range, Enhanced Bass, Noise-Cancelling Microphone - Black https://amzn.asia/d/4AyueVZ

            • @CyberMurning: Well, I actually bought one yesterday. 😜 I'm sure it won't sound as good or as loud as the Mifa but I'm hoping it sounds ok - for $27 it's fairly low risk, I can always return if I hate it. All the reviews I read were surprised at the sound quality and the amount of bass - given its small size. AUX-in is nice too (micro usb charging, not so much).

              • @penno2: i almost bought but read review saying when playing mp3 from card it will just go from the order of when the files were copied to the card, cant shuffle. probably will get the DOSS brand but twice of $27 :(

                • @CyberMurning: FYI I originally bought the DOSS SoundBox Pro, I liked aspects of it but I returned it due to essentially no bass. It didn't have shuffle either (but apparently a firmware update provides this).

No shuffle is annoying, the Mifa doesn't have shuffle either but if you get creative with how you copy the files across, you do get songs in a random order.

Someone made this comment in the last post

"Received mine today. After all negative comments here I wasn't expecting much but it sounds amazing…. until you crank up the volume! At low volumes everything is great, mids are clear bass is impressive for its size etc but at high volumes everything is compressed into one loud noise, losing all the details. Not sure whether I'll keep it or not, I'll use it for a week or so and decide."

    • I don't own this speaker, so don't wanna say too much. But distortion and lack of detail when turned up could be poor signal/content from source as well.

Usually Bose speakers hold up really well through out the volume range when provided with the appropriate source. I have test run a different models at mates places, and have always been a pleasant change from your JBL and UE.

      • I agree. And don't forget that crappy low bit-rate mp3's will continue to sound crappy… just amplified.

    • can confirm, this speaker does not play loud but when it's comfortable, it plays well

    • +1

I remember a time when people knew Bose were shit.

  • +3

Got mine yesterday. Very Mono sounding. Soundlink Mini far superior than this. Being cleared out for their new premium range

    • +2

Same here. Not a great speaker.
      lack of detail

  • This or Wonderboom 3?

  • +4

When you read reviews about speakers or Rtings reviews you would be biased by specs and data.
The best thing to do is go listen to the various wireless speakers in person at JB or somewhere and make a judgement. If possible, connect your phone and listen to your music.
I listened to most wireless speakers on the market in person, I thought the Bose Soundlink Flex sounded better for the price point than the Sonos Move at more than five times the price (comparing current Bose sale price to RRP Sonos Move). Just to clarify, the Sonos Move had better sound quality but not for me at that price point.
The above comments seems like people are expecting audiophile level audio from a tiny speaker. It is monosound, because it is a monospeaker, what do you expect? You can't beat physics - small speaker = small sound.

  • When does it end?

  • Can this be used as a PC speaker ?

    • +1

I think yes as long as it has a Bluetooth

      • I think changun is looking for something with minimal lag. Many Bluetooth speakers are suitable for music only.

  • Just got one in JB for 126 - $10 jb perk =116; ultimate gc 15% off
Pay off 98.6. Nice price for this quality. Enjoy it now

  • +1

I received mine from Amazon today with same day delivery and it is quite good. I am happy with the sound quality. I purchased it to replace my Bose Soundlink Mini II. Looking forward to taking this outside to the beach and it being waterproof is a bonus. Great value for the price. Thanks OP!

  • Does anyone know if you can pair two of these to a single Smart Soundbar 600 for synced sound output?

  • +2

This was a disappointing purchase. It does well when it’s mid volume, but as you go higher, it sounds very weird. Not great. You lose all the bass at higher volume and it sounds very flat. I’m returning it today.

    • Thanks for posting - my Soundlink Mini 2 is dying so I'll be watching the Amazon Warehouse to purchase your return.

      • No problem! Amazon Warehouse? I didn't know there was such a thing? Can you share more details? I would love to know and see if there are items i might want that others returned.

        • +1

It's one of the departments in the drop-down list. Not sure if your speaker will end up being sold as used-like new by Amazon or Bose Outlet.
