DJI Mini 4 Pro Fly More Combo $1,529.10 Delivered @ D1Store

DANSTUBE

Thanks to https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/14348458/redir for this 10% off code; it appears to be a referral code (says so when you enter it as a promo code), but it's certainly not mine and more importantly, it works on anything in D1Store including the new Mini 4 Pro.

It also works for DJI Care Refresh, the drone itself without the combo, etc. On this note, is the care refresh worth it?

  • On this note, is the care refresh worth it?

Yes absolutely. Especially if new to drones. It will make you a better pilot, taking risks you would otherwise be adverse to

I would recommend getting the Plus kit combo for $1619

    • +3

not new to drones, but i have crashed my previous drone before (mini 2, no sensors, wasnt paying attention). for $170 for 2 years, its definitely worth considering.

plus more kit > 250g, doesnt really matter much in australia (yet) unless you use it as part of a job or business, but more options for international use i guess

      • True but nobody is walking around and weighing your drone. If software locked, there are ways around it through mods if it ever gets to that. For instance you can mod them to fly beyond the 500 metre altitude limit. The extra flight time is definitely worth it.

Really want the Goggles as well, but frustratingly super $$$.

        Enjoy your new drone!

        • +1

Not sure about the rule breaking but now making me question myself if I should have gone for the fly more combo haha.

        • Are they compatible with the old goggles? I have those and they work great with my old Mavic 1

          • @Jonzay: I am not entirely sure sorry.

          • @Jonzay: Mini 4 pro is not.
It uses o4 video transmission while Goggles only support o3

      • +1

CASA regs say > 250g must be at least 5.5 km from controlled airports. That's a big bonus for <= 250g, if I'm interpreting things correctly, especially around Sydney airport. Tullamarine less so.

        https://www.casa.gov.au/drones/drone-rules/drone-safety-rule…

I think I've read somewhere the flight app/dep triangles are no-goes for all though, understandably.

  • Thanks OP bought my second drone ! The coupon works !

  • Also works with the Combo Plus pack which has the bigger batteries for longer fly time

  • +4

Managed to get this one in JB for $1400, just ask nicely what is the best price. Then you’ll be given almost 16% discount on the drone plus using the UGC will bring it down to $1190.

    • +3

      Ugc ?

      • +1

        Ultimate gift card

    • +7

      mind sharing the receipt ?

      • yeah, ask nicely is for suckers, corner them!

  • I already have a mini3 pro, but the omnidirectional obstacle sensing and 10bit of the mini4 pro make me very excited.

    • Tossing up whether it'll be worth it to upgrade. I can probably sell the 3 pro with the fly more kit for about $1000, leaving $500 to pay

      • I’m in the same boat, though the extended range is what I am after.

        • +1

@ShMiCk. where can you use with that sort of range? as most countries only allow "direct sight of the drone" distance.

          • @m2000: It’s not so much the distance, but I assume with the extended range there will be less interference?

    • Yeah these reasons is making me want to buy it..

  • Code only worked for Refresh
Not for Mini 4 pro for me

  • Code does not work for mini pro 4 flymore.

  • Yep, was the fly more plus kit I was trying to buy

  • not expired. tested 2:52PM 6 Oct on PC

Where do you guys even fly your drones? It doesn't seem like there is anywhere you can legally fly that is worth the cost & effort… at least in Vic. I was in WA last year and the rules are much more reasonable. I hardly use my drone these days… :'(

    • In VIC. I go hiking every week and take my drone everywhere with me. Beach flying is quite nice too.

      • In State Forests? Seems like drones are allowed there.

        • +4

*not allowed.. to take off or land within state or national parks, but you can take off from outside the park and fly over if
          - you maintain line of sight
          - do not disturb wildlife

          • @lawyerz: Do you know if that includes marine parks? I was thinking of launching off a boat and flying over Wilson's Prom, but the boat will be within a marine park.

            • +5

@3atc3: technically not allowed without a permit. basically any land managed by victoria parks. I say that, but I think if you're on a boat, in the middle of nowhere, and not using it to harass other marine animals, I feel like common sense would take over and I would personally say just go for it. I really dont think that's an issue. for me, its often a case of safety and nuisance, am I being a nuisance to other people or animals or if the drone falls or fly into something, will it be a safety hazard? if the answer to both is no, i'd say go for it.

*not a lawyer, despite my username lol.

    • +1

I like flying over bodies of water, beaches, rivers, and lookout points that are not within state or national parks. I've also taken mine internationally e.g. Philippines and taken amazing shots away from people.

      • If the natural park regulations are to protect wildlife from noise then you are probably still damaging wildlife in countries without regs fwiw.

    • +7

Airports, inside busy shopping centres, over large crowds at sports games, naval bases, etc.

      • especially naval and military bases. they love it.

        • +1

Negative Ghostrider, the pattern is full…

Highly recommend D1Store for anything drone related. Purchased from them the last few times and their customer service + drone knowledge is second to none. Highly recommended.

  • Is d1store the same as dji or not the official website? I don't get it.

    • +2

no, they're an authorised DJI reseller based in Brunswick and have stores all around Melbourne.

  • +1

If you buy care refresh from d1, is that who handles the repairs/replacement? Or do you still send it back to DJI? I haven't seen anyone else sell DJI refresh policies before.

  • I ended up buying a fly more combo for $100 off at JB hifi today so $1599 total, since I'm no where near d1 stores and wanted it this weekend

    • Can you share a receipt please?

  • +1

Really tempting! Dont need it quickly, so not sure whether to get it now or wait till Black Friday/cyber Monday.

Also bit of shame that the plus combo doesnt have 1 standard battery and 2 plus ones

  • +3

For anyone wondering, the Mini 3 batteries work on the Mini 4 if you already got some.

  • We're all probably using this guys referral code https://youtube.com/@DansTubeTV?si=Rg4Ifq9ixK7sAVmg

  • This or a mavic pro fly more combo for $450 off marketplace?

  • +1

$1277.10 for the DJI Mini 4 Pro w. DJI RC 2

    • How?

      • Using the 'Danstube' code.

  • Successfully applied referral code. Please take note discount code is not valid for promotion items. =(

    • I get the same… :( Not sure how it's a promotion item tho…

    • Have you tried it on PC?

  • Doesn't seem to be wokring on drones anymore. Still works on Care Refresh.

    • Im not home now but try it again on PC and let me know.

  • Doens't work for me… only applies the discount on the care refresh unf :(

    • Im not home now but try it again on PC and let me know.

      • I did :( no joy

  • Looks like it was a good deal. I have a old DJI Spark and would love to upgrade.. but..
Problem is I live in Victoria and in so many areas using a drone is unlawful. For example it is unlawful to take off or land a drone in any areas managed by Parks Victoria.
So that covers all national parks , state forests etc etc… You can use drones a bit by flying out of road reserves etc next to parks but you have to be careful. Also some local governments have also banned drones from any local government managed lands .. So you have to be very careful to ensure you are flying somewhere you are lawfully allowed to.

    • Ususally no one will bother you or report you if you're just minding your own business and being respectful. You may occasionally get a curious person ask you a few questions about drones etc.

      • I do agree.. but where people really put themselves at risk is when they then share video and images unlawfully taken from drones on Social media and youtube.

I regularly see unlawful drone footage posted on Victorian high country travel pages and various camping pages .. the posters are putting themselves at risk of large penalties.

This is an example of what can happen (Tassy though) … https://www.abc.net.au/news/2023-08-19/national-park-youtube…

If you do get caught the penalties are large, starting at around $3000 per offence …

Good summary of the Victorian laws here: https://walkingdroid.com.au/rpas-drones-prohibited-parks-vic…

I personally do not agree with the drone laws in Victoria.. the CASA regulations should be enough .. but in the eyes of the law my opinion of the law counts for nothing , so I obey them and try to warn others as I think parks Victoria does not properly advertise the drone regulations .

I bought one of these on launch.

Incredible piece of kit. I was skeptical how much drones might have improved since i first purchased by Spark in 2017.

Easy to fly, great stability in the air and great battery life. Tracking (spotlight mode) makes it really easy to get dynamic footage. The "O4 Transmission" system is incredible - the range is way further than you'd be comfortable flying.

If you're serious about video - the ND filters are a must buy.

Shooting in log (D-Log M) provides really great dynamic range. To bring the footage back to Rec 709, i've been getting best results with Resolves CST (Gamma: DJI, Colour: Rec2020 HLG Scene). Resolve Studio (paid version) noise reduction feature is a must have to clean up the shadows as it can get pretty noisy due to underexposure. AI Noise reduction from Lightroom does a great job of cleaning up the still images.
