  • Obligatory OzB "they had a security incident"

  • Seems like the only difference between this one and the one posted earlier is that the other one is dual cam. Paying an extra $100 for a second camera seems a bit steep.

  • have the slim version without homebase - does the job if you're looking for just a door bell only

  • How much video can the 16gb hold? Anyone got one who can comment on how reliable it is/video quality?

Our ring doorbell is dumber than a box of frogs, and sick of paying a subscription fee just for it to miss people and go crazy when the wind blows tree branches around!

If this functions for proper motion alerts without a monthly/annual fee that would be good.

    • +1

No fee and picks people up and cars. Not often trees that's mostly the other cameras

    • I'm not sure how much video ours stores, but any video you want to save permanently can be easily saved to the device you're using to view/access the footage (tablet/mobile).

    • pick up a 128gb card to use with it - a few sales with Prime Day happening.

Mine picks up people events only (or I should say, i've set it to that) and has ben pretty good with not picking up cars, bugs, leaves etc.

      • How do you attach storage to it, via a USB port? Or does the doorbell have an internal SD card slot?

        • Sorry - I should have clarified: I have the slim version that just has a mini wifi receiver (https://www.amazon.com.au/Eufy-E8220CW1-Security-Doorbell-Ho…)

My model has removable storage via SDCard in the door chime that is plugged into the power point inside your home.

This post's model looks like it's fixed storage of 16GB in the homebase itself

  • Does the home base two allow me to add 4k cams around the place?

  • +1

    https://myeufy.com.au/refurbished-eufycam-3-s330-2-pack-with…

The refurbished Homebase 3 and 2 x solar 4k cams are back in stock at $599. Pretty amazing deal imo.

    • Sold out already. Grade B is available but I can't bring myself to spend that much at the moment to upgrade from a Homebase 2.

  • does this unit interfere with anyones home wifi?. i feel like everytime i open the front door my wifi would drop

    • +2

Had 2x2k cameras hooked up to this base unit for over a year and no Wi-Fi impact as far as I can tell. My base unit is connected to my router via Ethernet. I have about 15 appliances running on WiFi and 4 people with laptops and phones on WiFi… So I think I am a good use case. Can recommend. I do not have the doorbell, though I don't see how this would be any different from two cameras.
