  Personally I would grab Varta AA Alkaline Batteries - 30 Pack for $11.98 from Bunnings. Made in Germany. Free delivery with OnePass.

    Not always made in Germany. Last lot I bought was made in China.

        Thought so too. The local Bunnings were all made in China stock except 1 made in Germany. The Germany stock look like the thumbnail, the China stock is a different colour.

    Varta was also my previous go-to.

    Pretty sure many of the Varta batteries are no longer Made in Germany since it has been bought out by Energiser.

    Next time in Bunnings, check the back of the Varta packs. They are made in various countries now.
