OzB App Broken - Pixel 8 Pro

Am I the only one who downloaded the OzBargain app from the Google App store onto their new Pixel 8 Pro and the app does not start?

Deleted it. Reinstalled it. Nothing helps. App doesn't want to start anymore. Is the app penalising me for only getting a $400 voucher and not a better bargain?

      Who is going to develop the "api"? You make it sound like every website is built with bullet-proof secured API endpoints that you can just throw any open source front end on top of it.

      After trying to build an app, we figured building something that can only be deployed on proprietary wall-gardened app stores is just not our thing. A modern web browser should be enough to access OzBargain.

        Accessing through browser is fine. But what about notifications?

        I have enabled notifications for the website in chrome but the notifications for the deals don't come through (may be an odd one, in the past 3 days). Any solution for that?

          For me I have been using this — having OzBargain notifications sent to a Telegram private chat, and that has worked surprisingly well on mobile. It's currently marked as "beta" and from a database lookup we have only around 12 users using it on OzBargain. I'll move it to general availability later this week.

    I'm having the same problem on my Pixel 8 Pro.

    "Sweet Aussie Deals" app is a good alternative.

    I just upgraded from the fold 4 and the thing I miss the most is having notifications for hot deals. It was great because it was all bundled under the one app notification.

    Hope it's fixed.
