"Get up to 10% off every product every day"

    I guess 0% is up to 10%

Funny thing, I was comparing prices last week, dulux shop vs bunnings. Same 15L tins were around 10% cheaper at bunnings.

  • Some of the smaller franchises are not so welcoming you to claim the vouchers, they actually may lose money if you just spend the voucher value only. Or they may jack up the price on item when you use the voucher. eg. can on paint online price was, $35, but at the casher it was $45. So have not really had a good experience with the vouchers when the shops close to me.

    • I had a similar experience.

Even before the voucher was mentioned the quoted price was 10% higher than Bunnings and was higher than both the 'club price' and 'regular price' online.

I mentioned the voucher and what the club price was and was told you can't have that price with the voucher. Vouchers aside it doesn't explain why their price was higher than regular price.

Still it worked out cheaper than Bunnings with the voucher.

Reminds me of a battery world promo where the franchise store was reluctant to fit the battery because I got a sale price online even though it didn't say anywhere that the promo was for pickup only.

      • I don't think there are many companies that give out free cash $20 every other season. I think about two years ago you could use the voucher online.
You get the online price and use the voucher. Anyway I would only use the voucher if I was really needing something, like a can of paint.
It's their rules, I guess too many people take advantage (like OP in their post) and some stores have had enough of it. You should feel good about saving $20 but I felt more ripped off. If you find a large store that does not care fine, the closest local store, I felt ripped off because of price jacking. So this voucher I tried another store, this store looked smaller, I knew the moment I walked in, they were not going to make it easy for me. They said I cannot get $20 worth of stuff which was not my intention, minimum spend $50. They said Inspirations just reimbursed them $7 on the $20 voucher, so I guess they could lose money. Forget it, I may unsubscribe myself soon.

        • Head office really needs to set consistent prices or the expectation that the in store price is going to be higher than the 'regular price' on the website.

The inflated price I was quoted for paint was apparently the 'trade price'.

And sounds like spelling out a minimum spend in the conditions would result in customers not getting frustrated and franchisees not feeling ripped off either.
