    87 03 180 are more usable.

    I find the 87 03 125 to be a bit short.

I've got cobras in 300, 250, and 150 and they're all great, but the 250 is the best 'all-rounder' size I have.

The 150 is very small but still a very useful size. I feel like the 125 would be more awkward and less useful than the 150, but if you really need it to be super compact I'm sure it works great for what it is.

Personally prefer 87 01 125 , great EDC to compliment my leatherman wave. This is a great price if you like 87 03 125

    • do you carry this every day for business, or pleasure as well?

    • Leatherman Wave is goated btw, I love my Wave+

      • Yeah keen to see what arc will come out at price wise though

        • +1

that thing looks like a work of art

          • @beltdrive: Agreed, it looks amazing but is it really going to be 260 GBP?

            https://www.leatherman.com/en_GB/arc-702.html

            • @sssboi: considering leatherman waves can be got for as low as 200 with even basic ebay codes, i would be prepared to pay UP TO 350 aud for the arc.
              500 is crazy.

fairly sure i got both my wave+ (1 black, 1 silver) for closer to 170 pre-covid.

@Jimothy Wongingtons: Just checked my email receipt. I got a Wave+, leather sheath, bit kit and bit extender for $230 in 2018

260 GBP is insane, but maybe that's just the early adopter price. I think I'll wait a couple of years

                • @beltdrive: I bought my old charge TT in about 2012 for $120. I couldn't believe how expensive they are now.

            • @sssboi: First time I've seen it. Looks nice and looks like it has a few nice little improvements over the wave, but no effin way at that price.

        • AU$500

I replaced my leatherman with a set of the 100mm ones, a utility knife, and a tiny ratcheting screwdriver. Weighs the same but is much more usable.

  • thanks, got one, was waiting for a good price!

  • Damnit, I thought this was the pliers wrench.

    • Are the pliers wrench the ones that lock closed really well?

      • They're the ones with the flat jaws that work like shifting spanners.

        • -1

The tests I've seen showed that those actually couldn't torque a bolt as high as these.

          • +1

@macrocephalic: true, but pliers wrench (86) wont wreck bolts as easily as these Cobras (87) though

            • -1

@brownsound: True, but I always figure that if you cared about the bolt you'd use the correct tool.

              • +2

                @macrocephalic: Dems fightn words.

              • @macrocephalic: Cobras are great, but no way would I use them on a fastener unless I was in a pinch or really dgaf about the fastener. The pliers wrenches are excellent and very safe to use in most situations.

          • @macrocephalic: Does glands perfectly

          • @macrocephalic: Can you link one of those, please?
I don’t use these on nuts but find them excellent for holding bolts.
I swear that the extra lever action on the pliers wrench clamps harder. I never use my cobras, just the raptors or pliers wrench. Raptors win for rounded bolts and stripped screws
I actually have a workmate who would love to throw this kind of test proof in my face.
