I'd avoid "cohort coffee" as well - my last order had a stone around the same size. Didn't bother complaining, bag was almost finished just crossed them off my list to never order from again
So you contacted them privately? What happened next?
When I initially emailed them, their head roaster Cory replied that some debris might get missed during checks and apologised. And said they'll try to make calibration as good as possible to avoid it in the future and thanks for my report. No offer of compensation/refund. Given I have a high end grinder, if I didn't pick it up it could've easily damaged the burrs and costed a hefty repair bill.
Fair point. If you're a regular, they probably should have given something. I don't really use the hopper these days and pour beans by weight as required so I would be able to pick something like this up hopefully.
the website crashed last time there was a 50 minute sale on. i hope they've fixed it so it can handle the increased traffic.
