        email the company idk 😂😂

i just saw this when I was looking through the website

$379 yearly subscription for a fitness tracker seems crazy expensive. Not everything needs to be a subscription. 🥱

    • +1

Indeed. I was a Superbacker for the Muse RingOne for $232 with lifetime free.

Free dried sweat and skin flakes

    here is normal pricing: https://join.whoop.com/en-au/select/membership

  • Wait why is a fitness tracker coming up in my watches RSS feed?

  • +2

I've heard these are actually very good for what they are, but that pricing is eye-watering. Personally I couldn't justify the incremental benefit the insights would give me where it's >50% (and pretty much 100% on the monthly plan) of what my fitness first membership costs in the first place.

  • +2

Where is the deal? Their normal price for new device is $379.

  • +3

$379 per year if you join after the trial.

I'm a little confused, what's the advantage of this service as opposed to just buying your own fitness tracker?
Pretty sure there are plenty of options available for 1/2 or even 1/3 of the cost of this service that do sleep quality, general health etc - Unless there's something I'm missing here? (eg. Some advanced level of detection, proprietary tech etc)

    • +2

      These have idiot detection

    • They believe a bit of machine learning and weeky/monthly once crunching of your data to show you some insights is a big deal (coaching 😉😜) and you'd cough up a monthly fee for this. I can't see the return on investment for most of the people signing up.

  • +1

Asking for a subscription fee for showing metrics and associates analysis seems stupid. Didn't want to neg it but the marketing pushed me over the line ☹️

  • Can't see where the bargain is?
You even have to pay for a trial for one month.

  • +1

You know the company is being run by some over-the-top triple turtle neck-wearing founders self-valuing themselves at $10+ Billion when they start changing $300+ for a fitness tracker whereas the probably greediest tech giant let you off with one buy by buying the Apple watch.

  • Agree with other comments - don't see the deal. Just sign up and get a NEW one normally.

These are probably the best fitness and recovery tracker, but you'd have to be pretty elite to get one.
Not a fan of subscription based either, or at least at that price. maybe if it was A$200/y.
I like how the devices are pretty minimal but my fitbit charge 5 isn't that much bulkier and much cheaper.

Not sure if you can keep your historical data when changing devices too often.

  • No deal here, sounds worse than buying outright which is also a rip-off

  • Once your trial ends, you'll automatically join our 12-month plan for $379, or choose monthly financing ($44/mo for 12 months

Ouch, I don't see any value in this deal. This is crazy expensive. Just get a Garmin, no stupid ongoing subscription charges. The activity tracker doesn't even look visually nice. Just a cheap looking device.

  • +1

forced to return upon completion, $395 charged automatic ally after first month.

This is not a deal, its bait.

Checked with WHOOP - return postage is free
