Not the lowest prices ever, but not too horrible. Listed as $5.60 since there is only one bar at $5.50 (I remember the days when all the bars used to go on sale for $5.50 but alas, inflation etc.)

It's chocolate, i don't see the problem with ordering too much :)

      • +2

For me the problem is temperature in my mailbox. Last time chocolate was ultra melted. In winter ordering chocolate was perfect, now in my case better to buy in Coles/Big W.

        • Ahh, good point! Are there still Amazon lockers available? I know some stores can be used as drop off locations as well. For example, there is a chemist near my home where i can have stuff delivered from Amazon, and i can occur them up once i get back home. Temperature in there will be perfect for sure

      Coconut is $6.90 on Amazon?
Why not buy it at Coles for $5.50?

  • +2

Same price @ Coles currently for those interested.

  • Aldi Dark range still takes some beating at half the price…

    • +3

Nah. Whittaker's is worth more than double the aldi stuff imo

  • Hazella available in some Big W's if you can find it

From my own experience Whittaker's chocolate tastes ugly like soil, I suspect that they add carrubba (carob) and they don't care because no one checks the hidden ingredients.

You sound like someone who shops at Aldi.

      • -4

You sound like an ignorant troll.

    • +3

Whittaker's chocolate is easily one of the better chocolates out there.

How do you know what soil tastes like?

      • +1

A lot of our food actually comes from the soil so it wouldn't be a ludicrous thing to know what it tastes like

I found a bug in a snowpea one time

        • was it yummy

          • @beltdrive: I like to split my snowpeas in half and eat the peas in the pod before the pod itself. This meant, unfortunately, the bug's wish to be a garnish was dashed

IMO Whittaker's is the second best supermarket chocolate now that Tony's Chocolonely is widely available. Whittaker's is much better value though

the ingredients are clearly listed on the packaging mate. no need for conspiracy theories

  • Is Whittakers better now than in the 90s? I remember having it back then and not liking it but maybe it was a bloomed block. Never tried it again since but people seem to like it now.

Depends if you like decent choloate, or sugary chocolate, or novelty chocolate.

I quite prefer it (the plain and medium dark blocks) dont care much either way for the novely type stuff.

      • I don't like Cadbury's it's too sweet for me, might try out a dark block

What happened to Berry Forest? I can't find it anywhere.

and the jelly tip - uncertain if they have limited runs or they dont bother importing all the flavors. The black forest was so much better than the cadbury version
