    This brand is great.
Received a set as present 25years ago and still great.
    This price is fabulous .

    • Exact ones? How does the handle fare?

      • My 25year old ones are black plastic handles with a hole in it to hang off wall holder. They are still fine.Have sharpened them many times.
I purchased some global ones about 2-3years ago and their blades are much thicker and are prone to discolour/rust.
Much prefer my thin original zwilling.

  • Knife experts, please share your insights ! :)

    • Buy first before it’s out of stock though!

      • went from 46% claimed to 85% claimed by the time I checked out and wrote a comment here.

    • no mention of the steel used, which is usually a worry.

    • found some details - chef knife goes for $70+ by itself in Japan.

      55-58 HRC

      Made in Japan

      • 13cm knife goes for $55.

      • hrc is the hardness which by itself means nothing. Different steels have different ideal hardness.

  • Don't know, don't care. Bought! Thanks OP! I get upset when my guests/family mishandle my Globals. Now I will have a spare to keep my mind at ease :)

    • Don't people choose Zwilling over Global?

      • +1

maybe? Globals are the best knives I have which isn't saying much since I use Kiwi Brand too. I got my set of Globals from Costco. If Zwilling are better then this is a bargain.

        • Yeah, Zwilling are very reputable. Most chefs use Wusthof or Zwilling I think.

Globals are still amazing for home use. Generally hold the edge well compared to other brands and can take a beating.

      • +2

I choose my Zwilling over the Global's … but that is more related to design/feel than the brandname.

        • Probably the same reason as chefs.

  • thanks I got 1 🙏

It says 89% claimed but can't add to cart anymore.

    • Same, mine was stuck at 86%.

      Then it showed as OOS.

Now I've managed to get the 86% page back and tried spamming add to cart for a minute in the hopes someone didn't check out.. 😅

      • Lucky you!
        Mine just says 'Currently unavailable.'

        • I've also gotten' it to say, "In stock" and no claimed deal message, but trying to add to cart fails and buy now just takes me to an empty cart..

  • Good catch but all gone.

  • Gone 😔

Got a 7 piece Wushtof Classic set. Wife would kill me if I bought these.

Seems thin and light and cheap handle from reviews. Also sharpness suspect after a while?

  • Gone

  • Bought it without thinking. Cheers OP

  • Very sharp knives

  • Mostly lurkers who would have jumped at it.

  • I like the chopping board haha. Yeah got a 6 piece global set, don't need more knives!
