Good thing the quantum physics book is for beginners otherwise I wouldn't know what the hell is going on.

    Thanks OP!

Read it, become expert, get phd, $$$, win

I feel like there should probably be a beginners guide to Quantum Physics for Beginners

  • Thanks OP I'll put this on my list for when I finish Specky Magee

I did a term of quantum mechanics at uni. It's scary difficult and downright crazy.

I did a term of quantum mechanics

Do you own a quantum car?

    • Same, although I've forgotten pretty much all of it. I did enjoy/hate the fact you could do pages of working out to get a simple answer of 3/4 or pi/2.

If I read this will I become the next Sheldon Cooper?

  • oh hell yes baby….. yoink!!

      How big is a quantum?

Isn't it the the smallest discrete unit?

What level of maths is assumed?
Without maths, it will be as useful as a fishnet condom. QM cannot be described with familiar metaphors. At best it will give some entertainment, and an illusion of understanding. i.e. like watching an explanation of Middle East politics on Youtube.

Some say nobody really understands QM, and the closest thing is being able to do the equations.

    • What level of maths is assumed?

      Veggie maths.

    • just do quantum algorithms leave the equations to ppl with big brains

      • +1

        What did that even mean?
You can give Newton's laws in English, even special relativity. But not QM.

        • I don’t think you need much math to understand quantum computing algorithms, could be wrong

I’m pivoting to a quantum expert as we speak, in preparation to when the ai craze ends

i pretend that i can understand this

  • Spent 4 years at Uni studying this stuff.. By brain still hurts thinking about the maths ..

  • Perfect, some light reading before bed.

  • I did my PhD on quantum physics and aerospace enginnering (rocket science) and found brain surgery easier to do

    • That's alot of time studying in this field. I enjoyed this book, and heave read it twice now.

      Why was Heisenberg's wife unhappy?

Whenever he had the energy, he didn't have the time.
