  • Looks like a good price for fresh roasted beans. Anyone buy from these guys before?

No GST in the price? That's un-Australian - pos removed

  • Can you confirm if the Roast Date is printed on the bag? (rather than a use by date!)
If it's printed on the bag… (and it's roasted fresh) then I'll buy. Otherwise, no thanks.

Yes these are roasted Fresh to order and will have a roast date on them

  • $14/Kg at WW. And the taste great to me.

ignorance is bliss isn't it, tightwad?

        WW beans are surprisingly good.

Personally I go for Harris Columbian.

international roast > nescafe > nespresso > average cafe > bad fresh roasted beans > WW > Harris > good fresh roasted beans > good cafe > full snob

Just because you choose something in the middle doesn't make you ignorant. I don't drive a Rolls Royce either.

  • Loved the Mocha beans from BayBeans. Maybe a little dearer, but was delicious.

Seems pretty reasonable price. I'll give it a go and see what these blends are like.
edit: scratch that. price doesn't include GST, which gets added when I go to make the final payment in paypal. This also didn't show up until after I'd logged in to paypal and added an 'ok to leave at door' note.

    Item total $44.95
    GST (10.000% in Australia);$5.19
    Shipping and handling: $6.95
    Total $57.09 AUD

    Not so great anymore.

Shipping and GST not included in price/title.

    • GST? it's rolled into the total price, just like it should be.. Dunno where people are getting the idea that the $44.95 price is ex-GST?
The Paypal breakdown is $44.95+$6.95 shipping for a total of $51.90 if it were ex-GST, the total would be
      $56.40.

Shipping should be in the title, but it is in the post.
      Invalid negative in my opinion…

      • see my post above. it's a copy-paste from what paypal was showing just before you hit 'confirm payment'.

        • The GST issue appears to be fixed now.

  • @Rep
I usually get through 0.5kg-1kg of bean every 2 weeks and I bin the beans between the 2nd and 3rd week after roast as I usually find they're too stale for me.

If there was a 1kg deal I'd be more inclined to try it out as long as the price is reasonable. Maybe you could even do two 500g bags of each blend if it's not too much of a hassle.

Also noticed you provide free 70g sample packs (one per household) for $2 shipping. Sample packs are a great idea as I've never seen a business do this before. The only issue is I won't even bother with 70g as it's not enough bean for me to get fine tune my espresso extractions. How about a 150g pack for $4 or allow 2x70g packs per household?

    • Thank you for your feedback googolplex, I'll bear that in mind for future offers. If you would like 2 x 70g sample packs then I can certainly make an exception for you. Just make a manual payment of $3.95 to my paypal account with a note attached 2 x 70g sample packs and I will ship them out to you. Thanks
