Better price than last time. S&S brings it down a litter further. 4X for $64.76 would last a long time. Great for kittens in training (in case they eat the litter).

  • 5x would last longer…

Lol that’s just for going over the free shipping hurdle.

      • Ah, gotcha. Forgiveness, please…

        • All is well in the land of felines 😹

  • This stuff is great for small critters (rats, rabbits etc). Absorbs smells very well. Compared to Breeders Choice this stuff seems to have a lot less dust too which is great for minimising respiratory issues.

  • thanks OP! would it be possible if i want to order more than 5? how do i do that

    • +1

Don't think so. Depending on how many animals you have, chances are by the time you finish these, there have been other deals. If you really have to, make another account or order 5x twice maybe?

      • I have $800 gift card stucked on my amazon account. Maybe I will ask for price match with petcircle. I have two cats and we have 3 litter box, 1packs finished within 2 weeks

        • Wow that’s fast. I have two adults plus 4 kittens right now, but they don’t go through them that fast. Maybe you want to check the food you feed them? Mine are on raw diet.

          • @frugalftw: one of my cat is behave like a queen, she got bored so quickly. i gave her raw diet (home made) and she got bored. Now both of them ate ziwipeak, it is just so expensive

@ivyholmes: Get the canned sardine in water from Aldi (blue cans, ~$0.85), drain the water and mix it in the food. It always gets their attention, no matter what disaster of food I offer to mine. Marked down meat in general do not get any likes in my household (says something about the meat, doesn’t it lol), so I always have to cook the meat and mix in the sardine. Now they have decided it’s much better than proper raw sardines, I have to chop up the fresh ones and mix in the canned 😓

              • @frugalftw: maybe i should just cook the beef with coconut oil and top up with can sardines from Aldi. Ziwipeak is just so expensive $5 a can for these two and they eat alot. How do you do with their dental?

                • +1

@ivyholmes: I only ever boil the meat, easier to clean the pots lol I buy whole chicken and chop up to big pieces. If they refuse but I don’t see any reason they should (fresh and happy meat), I just keep offering the same thing twice a day for half an hour and put back in the fridge. Be firm and know it takes months for cats to die from starvation if they have water. They sometimes get the bones stuck between the teeth and whatnot, when that happens I go back to giving them kangaroo mince. Chicken neck usually gets good attention, but usually only the first piece, so I chop them short and freeze. $5 a can cat food? You might as well give them pink salmon, $5.5 for 400g in all supermarkets and you know it’s real food. Mix in a bit of taurine and you are good.

                  • @frugalftw: Yeah I'll give it a go!

                      • @frugalftw: apparently pet circle seems like ignored my price match, and weirdly their panel live chat dissappear ever since I asked to price match from my accounf fml.

                        • @ivyholmes: Lol have you tried buying off Amazon twice?

                          • @frugalftw: yea. i cant buy twice, it throws me an error. maybe i should buy horse bedding next time as the replacement of wood pellets

                            • +1

@ivyholmes: Huh that is strange. Wood pellets are pretty decent. I will eventually make my way there lol

                              • -1

@frugalftw: my cats love digging coz they used to live in the wild, one of them from cat colony. We provided them 3 big boxes (under bed box from kmart) so they feel comfortable with their toilet. The view of their litter boxes are big, some ppl said like swimming pool for kitten lol. Although the queen bee is very naughty, sometimes she pooped outside. We provided her an empty box to hold on for some reason, she was scared that the box will fall of holding her. The wood pellets are good for smell but a little trouble to clean up coz you need a net to clean it up. I cooked them beef today, they prefered ziwipeak I feel so sad now..

                                • @ivyholmes: Huh so their litter boxes are under bed? Doesn’t that smell? Kmart has cheap sifting litter boxes for wood pellet, you don’t need a net.

Did you also get the sardine can from Aldi? Mix it in the beef and see if that helps. Let them go hungry. Bear in mind that beef isn’t a natural food source for cats, so it’s well within reason for them to reject it (they might not have the genetic code to metabolise beef depending on the particular family history of your cats). As to why pet food companies think it’s okay to supply beef to cats, is anyone’s guess, same goes with grains etc.

                                  • @frugalftw: No i meant i usd the kmart underbed box as a litter box, 2 boxes are in the hallway, but one of them in the lounge. The shifting litter box is too small for the queen and she got upset and pooped on the floor, thats why i use the bigger one now.

                                    Yeah I'll get sardine today

                                    • +2

@ivyholmes: I see. Maybe the big boxes makes you use more litter? I know what it sounds like, but I have found myself to eat less using a smaller plate 😜

Breeder’s choice is 2 for $58 at PetStock, follow this deal
https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/807657, works out to be on par with this deal.

                                      • @frugalftw: I believe that the latest medical advice has it that Nutritionalists recommend against eating kittie litter, irrespective of the size of your plate…

  • How does this compare to the compressed wood pellets?

    • Wood pellets are superior from previous commenters. If you can’t be bothered to go to your local equine suppliers, this is very good value.
