  • Myer have price matched, stack with cash back rewards. Can’t see much/any stock around Brisbane area though

    • Ahh must have been amazon matching with Myer. Likewise no stock in Sydney for c&c

      • Myer sells Pokémon TCG? Good to know!

If you're buying to keep sealed, beware. Amazon pokemon tcg has a tendency to turn up damaged or wrapper ripped

In general, dont inherently trust amazon for pokemon packs. In the past people have reported suspecting received re-sealed packs. I've personally experienced the same. Buy with caution and check closesly what you receive.

  • Nice find! With the promo value price accounted for, comes to roughly $8.5 per pack + all the extra stuff. For low/no stock all around my area, this is a great find.

    • How is it $8.5 a pack, isn't there only 16 boosters in this?

      • The promos are worth about $70, so they're not including them

  • Great price!
I just managed to get JB to price match kmart

  • Might be stupid question but are these worth grabbing and holding on to for 5-10 years or opening and hoping you get a rare card?

    • just waiting to see the answer from someone who knows

    • They are worth holding onto… if you can resist the urges to open em :)

Most pokemon products will do well in 5-10 years, especially premium products like this. However it does look like it's had quite a print run, so it could well only be double the price in 5 years. It's also quite bulky, especially compared to booster boxes which usually have the biggest price jumps and nice and small. So yes if you have the space by all means, but if you're limited on space, i don't know if it's worth it.

As for rare cards, well the set has some beautiful cards, but there's probably only 1 worth more than $100 now and it's not a common one. There's a fair few in the $50-$100 range, but depends what you're hoping to get out of pulling the cards. This is a fun product to open, but i would never hope to pull good enough cards to sell to make your money back.

    • Pokemon or any TCG/loot box system is not worth opening on the chance of getting something rare/valuable.

Their value is usually derived from their scarcity (or impact/strength in the game), so you will most likely lose value from opening.

  • I have opened 46 packs and missing kakuna, seadra, kabuto, dragonair and leftovers.

    (Holo and >ex not included)
