With a RRP of $102 supposedly, this seems like a nice price. Could be good for gifting this christmas.

Also available via their eBay page if anyone has discount codes. Apparently I hadn't used my monthly $5. Thanks OP!

I doubt this is really $102 at Chemist Warehouse. I bought the 100ml for $61 at Priceline before. Still a good price though.

  • Is it really that good?

  • Does anyone price match old chemist warehouse stock?

Has anyone ever tried this and the one Myer selling?
I always felt like the quality of CW fragrances are always inferior to the one Myer selling.

have the same experience - they smell less 'fresher', more stale in my opinion

not sure if its perception, or biased from what I've read on reddit about them grey importing / parallel importing fragrances from who knows where

      i agree.
i have an unproven theory that cw buys for super cheap unsellable stock from other countries that has been sitting on shelfs at the major department stores for years. so that is why they can afford to sell it so cheap, they have to still make a profit somehow. i have purchased the same fragrance from david jones and cw and find the cw doesn't last long, like it is old cologne. while from david jones i can smell it the next morning before i shower or on my clothes for many many days, while the cw maybe last a few hours.
the price is so much cheaper, i guess you can just spray it every few hours when the smell disappears.

I have bought cinema by YSL and Narciso rodriguez on the higher end stuff and heaps of lower end, never really noticed anything different other than a price difference.
I think it might be that they have been sitting a shelf for longer possibly for those experiencing this, maybe this is why chemist warehouse sell for cheaper, like a reject shop of perfumes its hit or miss. Myer is known to over price things though tbf

Although Chemist Warehouse may have a reputation for grey importing stock, this really doesn't make a difference to fragrances. The bottles being sold at Myer for a lot more money are from the same factory, with the same liquid inside. The only difference might be that CW stock can be a little older - but this doesn't make a difference to the effectiveness of a fragrance. Unless it's being stored in bright sunlight, an extremely humid environment like a bathroom, or in super hot conditions, fragrances can last decades. In fact, most of the time older batches of fragrances are even more highly sought-after by collectors.
