  • Hello guys, my first post. Please be kind. Also, please share your thoughts if this monitor is worth it. Thanks.

    • Kindly always put a price in the title, please, thank you, and God speed.

    It's FREE!

The money saved can go towards a pot of boiling water to defend against any would-be bugulars

    • Huh ?

    • +2

Make sure you throw some jam in there. Prisoners choice.

  • +3

I've been always intrigued by the statement - opened, never used. If you did not intend to use, why did you open it? 🤔

    • +4

      Seller notes: “Box slightly damaged.”

In this case, I'm assume to visually inspect the product due to box damage.

Not fan of VA panel, pass

  • +6

I don't get this - 31 sold, more than 10 available. Who would open and slightly damage 50 monitor boxes and why ?

    • +1

Or, more likely, boxes were damaged so they had to open them to make sure the monitor was not damaged.

It is a large number to get damaged though!

      • +5

Forklift can easily rip through a pile.

  • +1

I wouldn't use a curved VA for graphic design.

    • Haha yep, weird suggestion

    • Yeah, I prefer curves for other reaosns though.

  • Thanks OP - Bought one.

  • Thanks, bought 1.

  • This sale is probably related to this “box damaged” sale.

Seems like Samsung had some sort of “incident” a year ago and are still dumping stock.

    • Maybe the whole truck flipped on it's side, quite a variety of bits for box damaged.

Currently going for $799 at JB, so near 60% off RRP

FYI this monitor lacks a VESA mount, so no mounting it to a monitor arm - at least not unless you buy an adaptor mount or similar from Amazon / Ebay.

  • Can it be vesa mounted?

  • Anyone uses it for gaming? Any good?

    • +1

For gaming at 4k you'd need a pretty beefy computer. Then you wouln't be using a 60hz monitor.

      I think it's a firm no.

    • My son has one of these hooked up to his PS5…..I haven't heard any complaints from him.

      • that's what I will be using it for too (PS5)…but probably would go for 120hz. thanks for @naigrabzo's reminder

I used this website for review: https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/samsung-ur59c-4k-curved…
      Looks like no complaints.

      • Thanks! will take a look!

  • I have a surface laptop 4. Primary output is USB C. Anyone recommend an adapter or cable to use this monitor?

Need to get one under $300 to claim full amount in the one tax year vs depreciation…

  • +1

Arrived today, set up. Box was barely damaged and the monitor is working great.

  • Got mine yesterday. Amazing monitor - very happy :D

Box wasn’t damaged at all, pretty much brand new.
