What Free AI You're Using for Productivity?

Hi All,

Keen to know if you're using AI for your work productivity or day-to-day tasks and if yes, do share the links/sites. I use Claude/Bard/Chat GPT occasionally. Bard is the most basic one and impressed by the Claude's ability to read and assess the PDFs to provide a response.

Thanks

My employer does not permit use of AI.

mine has blocked Claude and GPt however Bard works.

    • Backwards employer…

      • Not at all. How do you stop employees who don't know any better from uploading sensitive company data.

      • I doubt you know the nature of my employment, or the entity that I work for; your statement is incorrect.

          I see!
          Backwards employer = backwards employee

@JafferMoney: I notice that you have not bothered to respond to OP's question, but you appear to be able to quickly make (incorrect) assumptions about someone else's response without any knowledge.

That smacks of ignorance to me.

            • @GG57: Must be a goverment worker…LoL

@JafferMoney: Your lack of sentence structure suggests that you are likely not well educated. Using AI may assist you in your employment.

@GG57: LoL…ah good old OzBargain…according to most I'm 'highly' educated and actually I'm not employed, I employ people…but I wouldn't employ people who are backwards thinkers…they are reserved for the government :D

                    @JafferMoney: That sounds wonderful.
I do wonder why you haven't responded to OP's question. That would be the point of joining in this discussion.

    • Do they permit you to go to work?

ChatGPT. Really handy for writing stuff up in Python or Powershell. Its not perfect but is fairly capable.

    • ChatGPT. Really handy for writing stuff up in Python

I found it really crap at that…

    • I agree, similar for PHP, Wordpress etc. It is handy to give you the basics/framework but you still might have to modify it to your requirements.

  • chatgpt for terraform

    • Planet teraform from star trek?

  • Chatgpt sometimes for Excel formulas and vba code.

    • Excel into the abis.

    AI and grave diggers. LMAO.

  • ChatGPT and Bing Chat, though Bing Chat behaves very differently, relies heavily on search.

Also now that AI has come out of beta for Adobe I think I'll be using that a lot. Generative fill is amazing, what used to take 20 minutes by hand now takes 20 seconds. AI is really going to change design a lot.

    • Thanks, whats name of Adobe AI and if it's free ?

      • It's absolutely free, for paid subscribers to Adobe software. I think they are calling it Firefly. I don't pay too much attention to betas, I wait for new features to come out.

  • What free AI you're using for productivity?

I no longer use pirated versions of Adobe Illustrator, I just use GIMP

  • Interesting and thanks OP starting the conversation aboug AI
    👌👍😁

  • Using POE for anything that search doesn't help me with - helped me with a few problems I was having with some autohotkey scripts and some other troubleshooting problems + general use.

I run a few variations of the Stable Diffusion models (and addons) locally on my PC with the Auto1111 webui - more educational than productive though.

Not free , but most recently very useful - Topaz Gigapixel AI for upscale and enhancement of old scanned 6x4's. Photoglory - for restoration and colourisation.

Just starting to have a look at Topaz Video AI as I have a heap of VHS converted home videos of the kids from the 90's (poor conversion and quality)
