Oldubil Anything You Can Use The Remaining Currency

So apparently everyone got a notification to 'spend' everything earlier this month - unfortunately i missed it and i got about 90 or so bucks or so worth of turkish lira

anyway anyone worked out a way to spend the remaining balance ideally on a gift card that can be used somewhere else - or is this essentially just dead money now

I used up all the funds and bought iTunes e-pin in OlduBil, only this way to top up my Turkey Apple Store/iTunes Store. They just need your correct email. The phone number is optional as of today.

    • Yes it works, now i have apple music for 20 turkey dollars each month, good deal!

    • @mooreshady - Spot on, use the Oldubil app, click on epin and buy a gift card, I bought 2 Turkish Lira Netflix gift cards and loaded them onto my 'Turkish' Netflix account. This was a really simple way to use up the funds. @Blur

      • How did you redeem the code? I got a netflix code but it wasn't a proper gift card number

  • Any other options besides Turkey iTunes?

  • Following this because I wasn't paying attention and missed the notifications.
Spotify cannot/will not take payment, and now I have a fair balance of TRL to use.
I guess the Turkey iTunes means I need to create a new apple itunes account specifically in Turkey. Sigh.

    • Replying to this thread so anyone else with ~800 TRL has a suggestion on how to spend it.
I ended up creating a Turkish iTunes account using a private window on my Mac, and then bought the e-pin iTunes cards (500x1 and 100x3)
In order to BUY the epin voucher, I had to provide a turkish mobile number.
It never sent any code to it, only to my email address (but it did reject one website that was giving free receipt of sms). Try some sites, or just make up a number.
I then vpn'ed to Turkey and logged into the new Turkish account on my ipad, then started to redeem the cards.
The 2nd two cards seemed to fail, but I figure the VPN or iTunes login timed out.
When i logged in again, they were added to my balance.
I created a family with the new Turkish a/c and invited the old a/c
      then I subscribed to iCloud+
and had to go to the old a/c and accept the invite and start to use the 200gb data (the old had maxxed out. 50gb - not sure if I need to manually cancel that 1.49 sub?)

      seems to be working now.
